hey guys, i was deciding where to go with wheels on the m35 when it lands...

atm its got skyline wheels on it 18's

post-22208-1277013187_thumb.jpg

post up pics of what wheels you like on m35's or what wheel you HAVE put on your m35!

also, because its awd. does it mean i have to run the same rim size and width's all round?

Regarding width, yes. Rolling diameter seems to be very critical, not the 2-3% variation that other attessa equipped vehicles seem to allow.

If you're looking for a new home for those 18's when you find replacements, let me know, I'm after a set of those.

BTW, the car looks great, you must be busting to get your hands on it!

Cheers, Dale

yep ill definatly be selling them

if i decide to keep the car, or sell it and go after one with a sunroof like i wanted. im not sure

if i decide to keep it, it will be getting a respray asap. ill keep the colour on the low atm still trying to decide!

so need to run the same wheels. that sucks lol

anyone got any pics of thee cars with gangster meshies on them haha

vxss?

I'm sure there's a fella on here for NZ, coincidentally White with the Nismo kit, had 19x10 or 19x11 mesh of some sort, with seriously pulled wheelarches and very low. Maybe someone else can remember, his looked very tough indeed.

Yeah I reckon 19 - 20" for the M35, those arches are so big that they need some size!

To get a flush fit i used 19 x 8.5 +22 offset. these just fit under the guards without any rolling, and have plenty of clearance on the inside.

So you could definitely fit 9.5 +35 under the guards, but might be tight on the inside of the fronts. (there is loads of inside room on the rears) but I wouldnt recommend staggered on the M35

Here is how the 8.5 +22 offset fit.

That looks awesome dude! Love the wheels, that's how I'd like mine to look.

Can I ask what size your tyres are? Is that with standard ride height as well?

Cheers.

Thanks mate

Tyres are 225/40 19 Which is still a bit small from what I recall, so my speedo is off by a couple of %

It is a fair bit lower than standard, I have Tanabe adj. coilovers in there, so its probable about 2" lower than standard in those pics, but it sits a little lower now as the new springs have settled in.

Here is a shot of the front height (sorry its a crap phone pic I already had) - rear is the same.

They are sweet wheels! I had them on my C34 stagea. Awesome quality and great price

Only downside with the 8.5" is they dont have the concave spokes pulling in. Make sure you get the +20 offset (they come in +35 or +20)

I reckon the 9.5" +45 with a 10mm spacer would be sweet in the ARX that way you get some more dish and pull on the spokes. They are super aggressive and should just fit!

here is a pic of the 18x8.5" on my C34

Who is that Axis range available through in Australia?

From what I understand there is no distributor here in Aus.

I think Tempe Tyres brought a few containers in though a while back, so maybe try them to see if they have anything left. Late last year they had a handful of 19x 9.5 +45 in stock...

Jetwreck: I fricken hate spacers as well. get the right tool for the job!

speaking of which - has your nismo ECU arrived?

And on that topic, ecu's, has anyone spoken to Toshi on here regarding a re-map, I know he does the other Nissan ecu's and he's very good.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
