Thanks to some low life scum who decided to break into my car and did a half ass "attempt" to steal my ride. First they busted my door so now I have to get in via the passanger side. Then they "tried" to start it up, but in the process busted the ignition barrel.

And all for what? NOTHING! They took absolutely NOTHING! :P

They noticed the Apexi RSM and PFC handset because they opened the glovebox and left it on the passanger seat, but still took..... NOTHING! Not even the coins or the stereo!!!!

So now my car is at my uncles getting the the barrel ignition and door lock fixed. Chances are that it won't be dont till next week.

thats a weird one ... maybe they got chased away by someone?? ... anyways the other night some **** took my boot lock cover .. ffs why the **** would u want to take something like that ... ****in jobless brainless dickheads ... if i ever catch one of these ****s ... i'm sure they will be visiting a hospital ...

Does a club lock work these days? Surely putting a club lock on would deter the thieves that little bit more?

I think every little bit helps...

All you're doing is slowing them down really, and stopping the joy riders...

If a professional theif wants your car, they're going to get it. It's as simple as that.

I wouldn't over-estimate the tenacity of professionals. *Some* will take it regardless, but there are a lot of "professional" thieves that will be not so much thwarted by complicated security measues but just find an easier target instead.

So to all of you guys out there without alarms and club locks - please don't get them, and make sure you park near mine if you see it! :)

My dad installed a Mongose alarm/immoboliser system. Don't know what model though. I also had the clublock on.

Actually, they did take something. Went back and checked and looks like they took my Oakley sunnies.

But yeah, I kinda figured they were disturbed. I'm not going to go into the whole "If i find out who did it" business. I'm a believer in karma. I'm rather it was an amature that did this than a pro cause the car would've disappeared for good!

Silver - if it makes you feel any better - my long weekend has been ruined too....

R33 still in workshop.......

No Drift day (already paid for) (Sat)

No Dyno day (Mon)

No Track day (Mon)

Friggin modified cars......

Thanks fellas for trying to make me feel better. I'm over the shock now. Just want it back on the road so I can get rid of it.

It was strange how they didn't break the clublock. It was intact when I looked at it. Alarm wasn't screaming when I saw it though they security guard did say they heard it. They looked but nothing looked wrong on the outside so they thought it was a faulty alarm. The b@stard/s didn't do much damage on the outside. They popped the door handle cleanly. The mess was the ignition.

    • Hi GTSBoy, Excuse my ignorance but what does a "Bad" Knee point mean ?
    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
