That looks really nice Grant. They always look awesome in dark purple

cheers.

saw that r32 on ebay....

you going midnight purple?

Yeah it was on ebay. picked up the parts through JSA imports down in Carrum downs he had a fair few 4 door parts there actually. picking up another boot tomorrow from him and he also had the rear window for $350 so i scored well. Just need to get the window fitted now. either VY SS purple or BA Phantom XR purple see what others are around that i like that are just standard colours as i plan to slide it soon.

^^thats the best you come up with you goose....

and drftps13=D, the pic might make its ride height look bad but the car is perfectly done and i do think the plates suit the car...the car is nicely done!!

:D

lol who cares about power if you cant use it =]balance is the key.

suspension, braking, reinforcement, tires are more important than power.

CR33M is lame.

even with a do luck kit, if its not scraping the ground, your failing

haha just my opinion.

okay.. so when was owning a car and modding it about pleasing others?

kris owns it, kris is happy with it, he has noone to please but himself, and it looks like he's done that.. im sure he would get all the rep down town when its slammed and shit..

I love all the noobs who cry when someones car isn't sitting on the ground... they finally buy a car, dump it, drive it for 5 mins, turn the kit into a horrible, cracked nightmare and get defected 500 times... parents yell at them so they sell car... but because they had an import for 5 mins they're now experts

from someone who has been driving imports everyday for 8 years and has never been defected you may now kiss my arse :nyaanyaa:

hella flush might look cool sitting in a car park but try driving it round the streets of Melbourne like that... good luck kiddies

ps. nice Chaser... needs more low tho;)

    • Bit difficult to follow. Have a look below and see what the standard R32 layout was like. Note there was a restrictor in place immediately before "turbocharged pressure control solenoid" that, if removed, magically got you 1 bar boost.
    • I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.
    • Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?
    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
