your probably right about the spacing, I usually type it in when i'm done a pic, and i'm very lazy/stooopid.

I haven't changed the sky though.... haven't touched any of those pics since they've been up. strange.

So i have been working on a bit of a project lately with someone who has interest in Aboriginal art. He has got the dialysis machine hand painted from some very talented aboriginal artists.

I took on this project, as i got a great interest in seeing beautiful art, and also my thesis at uni last year, involved working in the medical field.

Two sample pics for now. Still lots to go thru and edit.

But amazing art work i must say!!

Lighting wise: - two b800s, one bare bulb and one in large octa box. Backdrop was a black fabric supplied by the client. He wanted a black backdrop so we used this colour.

For the next shoot/project i want to put a glass underneath do get some reflections. So work on that next time. Its hard to move such big machines, so getting it into a proper studio will be hard and a lot of work. So i worked on location with limited space and items. Thank-god they got rid of the insides of the machine, otherwise it would have been seriously heavy moving it around.

One of my corals: Its grown so much over the year, and the colours look amazing in the tank.

A shot from yesterdays wedding:

- I tested the 50L for a bit to see how it compares with the 1.4 version i got and i must say im very impressed. When this lens locks in it locks in!!!

- The below shot is of the bride walking past me inside the temple. Manual focus points chosen as always and i focused on her eyes. I hate the 5dm2 focus points. ITS SO SHIT!!!! damn you canon!!! The only thing i hate about the 5dm2.

Anyways here is the pic im proud off.. Well got a thousand or so pics to process.. fun fun fun..

Visited the Cruise for Charity on the weekend, mainly a commodore event put on 'Street Commodores'. Was a really well organised event. had a dyno and an area for photo shoots under profoto gear, had a bunch of stalls and some other stuff. here's a few pics.

Agreed, that 3rd one is a wicked angle! Awesome back drop as well. The bogan inside me wants to check out the Cruise for Charity sometime! Also wants me to get a VK, but I'll try and subpress that one for the time being :)

Hopefully I can get my laptop back soon so I can chuck some more pictures up here.

hey hey.

that cyber shot is probably my favorite from the day too.

I used a remote flash which was to camera right, sitting on the ground about 4 metres from the car centred and pointing straight at the back.

Here's some more.

This was one of the hottest commonwhores i've seen in a while. I like the angle on this one too. shame about all the distractions and boot.

Sweet photos matt :) Keep it up!

I got some photos to post later tonight hopefully when my stupid web server gets back up after maintenance.

BTW - With your watermark do the following MUCH easier!

In photoshop:

File -> New -> Transparent background

Type out your watermark exactly how you want it.

Flatten image (MUST DO! to create a "Layer 0". If it doesn,t just double click the "background" layer so its not locked)

Save as -> PNG.

Then open it in photoshop, draw a marquee around it.

Copy it.

Minimize it.

Paste onto photos as you go along! Use the free transform tool (i set mine to 40% Width and Height) then the move tool to position it.

You can also make this an action also. Although i think you need your saved "watermark" to be open. Haven't played around with this part.

Ideally you can create a brush also.

Then run an action and batch all your photos if you want to do it that way also.

    • I certainly fall into the annoyed camp, but glad to hear that if it's happening at low boost then I'm not likely going to blow a turbo and end up with metal shards in my oil. Just feels like it prevents me from really driving it without hesitation and "peak" performance. Wonder if it's the VCAM, it did an impressive job of shifting the torque curve and faster spool, but maybe now it's "too fast" and there's too much air for how open the throttle is.  Based on some other threads, will also do some reading on synchronizing the actuators. They are the default actuators that come on the Garrett's and I would think they would be set the same coming from the factory, but if the turbos don't actually work exactly the same way at the same time as previously mentioned, it would be worth making sure the actuators are actuating together properly
    • I went down this rabbit hole before, ended up sourcing a motor from the UK (I'm in Japan) which also didn't function correctly. With the original motor, I disassembled it and reassembled it and it works somewhat, sometimes. What I could deduce from all my screwing around is that there is calibration of the gears on the inside of the motor and two ramps on the main gear which activate switches that operate the motor and move the sunroof either to retract into the roof or tilt. Where I got stuck was that, it seemed in my case that one or both of the switches that are activated by the ramp on the gear did not always activate and thus the motor did not move, causing it to sometimes not retract or tilt (apologies, I've forgotten which way it didn't work.).  Of course this part is discontinued at Nissan now, it's the same part in the S15 but no other models. I also contacted the manufacturer of the component for schematics - forgot the name, they're based in Gifu - but they declined to share the information due to being bound by an NDA, sadly. Looking through my pictures now, it seems I last had a crack at this in 2022. See, I so kindly wrote "open" and "close" next to the switches. If you figure it out, please do tell me. Those little switches, with the red buttons may need to be replaced.
    • It says 300ZX, does that make it an Aus delivered car? Funny how back in the day I just couldn't care less about Z32's and these days I am just in love with them. Back when Nissan was into pushing the envelope. 🤣
    • Hi guys, just after some guidance with an R34 sunroof that has stopped working correctly. It still opens and closes perfectly fine, but it no longer tilts/vents up or down. As a result, the rear of the glass now sags a bit as it drops down slightly in order to retract into the roof, but now it can't pop upwards into a flush position. I’ve probed the pins on the back of the switch connector with a multimeter and it seems like both switches (for open/close and tilt/vent) still work correctly. Any ideas on what it could be, or where I should even start in terms of diagnosing? I'm sure someone's had this issue before but I haven't been able to find anything online relating to this specific issue, most of the issues are with the seals leaking or the motor failing entirely. Thanks in advance!
