Them pauters and wisecos are looking cheap :worship:

Tuner doesn't like Pauters as they are heeeaaavvvyyyy, over 700g each. Im not looking for 1500hp either. Eagles will do me, he has a 1.5jz doing over 700wkw on them. :)

Why not look for VQ30det rods from the US? Same stroke as the VQ25

The big end journals are much smaller on the VQ30det it seems, 48mm instead of the size listed in the Vq25 Japanese workshop manual, 53mm. I don't know why, perhaps for less flex on the crank?

Thats the place i bought from btw.. not sure if i listed it before..

Yeah the pauters were a little heavy! but very very nice if your looking for something almost indestructible

Now to see what fits what... :P

Hopefully I wont need them together again any time soon.

hmm... that VQ35de looks like it has an aftermarket plenum top and lightened aluminium pulley...

I wont be needing those if you want them.

Most importantly, does the VQ25det 4wd sump and diff fit onto the Vq35?

May be interested in both.... will talk to you about them tonight :D

Regarding the sump/diff.... NFI.

If I had a way to bring up the AWD G35 in Fast I could tell you. Will email infinity and try to get a part number for it

If I was a betting man....yes!!!....which in turn would help it fit into the Stagea :D

P.S. Dib's on the diff!!! and shaft ...maybe!

Some interesting plans in here..

In the near future my stagea will be getting a replant too.

VK45DE, HKS VQ35 pistons(lowers compression), two hair driers, and a T56 gearbox (bmw, euro, etc)

Not hard to do, can source a Q45 Infiniti subframe peice of piss, bolt right in so not worrying about modifying engine mounts etc.

Computer will be hardest, making standard gauges work with a Link.

why low comp? Up the comp and go E85 if you want HP!

i'll buy your spare scott if you dont need it. - on and your turbo.. what are you doing with that ? :(

shotgun!

*gets in line*

My turbo is nothing special, ATP will do the same one for you, or bigger if you want.

The best mod I have is the fuel. For the Sydney guys there is an Eflex pump at Tempe now.

yeah im think going a sard fuel reg, then different injectors.. mine are getting super noisy anyway.. esp now with the manifold cover off.

What bigger injectors did you get and how much were they, and did you require any fuel rail changes other than the injectors ?

who are ATP ? i take it theyre in victoria?

    • -10 is plenty for running to an oil cooler. When you look at oil feeds, like power steering feeds, they're much smaller, and then just a larger hose size to move volume in less pressure. No need for -12. Even on the race cars, like Duncans, and endurance cars, most of them are all running -10 and everything works perfectly fine, temps are under control, and there's no restrictions.
    • Update: O2 sensor in my downpipe turned out to be faulty when I plugged in to the Haltech software. Was getting a "open circuit" warning. Tons of carbon buildup on it, probably from when I was running rich for a while before getting it corrected. Replaced with new unit and test drove again. The shuffle still happens, albeit far less now. I am not able to replicate it as reliably and it no longer happens at the same RPM levels as before. The only time I was able to hear it was in 5th going uphill and another time in 5th where there was no noticeable incline but applying more throttle first sped it up and then cleared it. Then once in 4th when I slightly lifted the throttle going over a bump but cleared right after. My understanding is that with the O2 sensor out, the ECU relies entirely on the MAP tune and isn't able to make its small adjustments based on the sensors reading. All in all, a big improvement, though not the silver bullet. Will try validating the actuators are set up correctly, and potentially setting up shop time to tune the boost controller on closed loop rather than the open loop it is set to now. Think if it's set up on closed loop to take the O2 reading, that should deal with these last bits. Will try to update again as I go.
    • More so GReddy oil relocation kits, sandwich plates, etc. all use 10AN fittings. And same, I've only used 10AN and my car sees track work (circuit, doing laps, not 10 sec squirt business).
    • street use or race track, what hose size and why? what factors change with the hose size options ?   see most comon is an10. when you see most oem external coolers are closer to an12? does high volume oil pump like nitto need an12 or 10 be just fine
