You are kidding right?

More like console kills the game - If consoles were not around the level of graphics and game play of these games would be significantly better.

But as games are coming out and coded with 4yr old hardware in mind as opposed to what's available today or tomorrow, you always get a fking shit game which is but a shade of what it could be

They don't get it do they?

A PC can have 12 screens with higher than 'Full HD' res running a game or 1 screen and 10 screens with porn and one with SAU.

Consoles can only dream of connecting more than one that isn't a duplicate. Three at best if you have a few consoles and a few copies of Forza.

Even with PC only games it still comes down to supporting the wider audience which means lower specs. Wider audience = bigger sales. No use releasing a game that's amazing if it wont make money.

Only problem with pc is that everytime a new game comes out. You need to buy a new pc with better specs just to run it lolol

lolol...no

My LAN pc still runs a GTS250 which is a 9800GT which is a 8800GT which was launched in 2006. Seriously if the best you can do is 'you have to buy new hardware to play the newest most innovative games the way they were intended' you lose.

do you plan on getting black ops on your pc?

Of course not, i don't want a console designed game.

Plus MW2 was shit house. I wont waste my money again.

Friend of mine who plays online/PC - reckons its shit at this stage (game control mechanics are shit, but that'll be due to console IMO).

He plays all the FPS shooters - tier1, MW2, BC2 etc etc - so good enough of a review for me not to waste my money this time round.

I've not changed the major parts in my PC really for nearly 3 years.

Only thing I've changed was a graphics card, @ a cost of $150

I'd rather do that every 18-24 months than play games designed to run off 4yr old graphics

Some news regarding Multiplayer

Pressing select on the lobby screen will bring up a Host Selection Option.

These are:

DEFAULT - the game finds any host ANYWHERE in the world.

LOCALE - the game looks for hosts close to your location then expands it to far away hosts.

LOCALE ONLY - it will only search for hosts close to your location.

I choose LOCALE as it finds games quick and in oz. LOCALE ONLY takes freakin ages to find a game (and that's IF it finds one). Or if you want lag and shoot people from overseas (mostly Americans) then go for DEFAULT.

Some news regarding Multiplayer

i have some news for all the PC people.

this game runs on STEAM - if you dont have steam, the update takes AAAGGGGGGEEEEESSSS, 10 minutes and its at 4%

i will give you more info when the game installs and i can play

Dunno why so many people are hating on this game, I reckon its way better than MW2. It basically IS MW2 but with tons of new little features. Sure if you're the type to prestige 10x over and still rack up a year constantly online play you might see slight differences and problems, but for the casual gamer this game rocks.

I like the money system too, although I think it would've been better if guns didn't have level restrictions, but instead had higher costs for the later tier weapons. So you could save for your favourite gun, or just upgrade as you can afford them. The money is common enough to buy pretty much every gun, but not enough to modify them all (no doubt this will change once you level up). So you have to pick and choose which you like.

What guns is everyone using? My best so far is the Falil with red dot and silencer, or in smaller maps the AK74u with red dot and dual mags. I just unlocked the AUG too, but I don't think I like it. It shoots insanely fast and I find myself spraying a full clip just to kill one guy.

Maybe because MW2 was a steaming pile of turd?

Maybe because Treyarch ALWAYS just tweak something IW has already done and usually make it worse?

Those early COD campaigns were pretty sweet.

But how is worse? It's different, but that doesn't automatically mean its worse. Like I said most of the hardcore gamers hate this new versions because its not what they're used to. I hated MW2 (and the original) in the end because I'd log and everyone was multiple prestige and simply owned me. With this game I can keep decent kill/death ratio, at least for now.

You are playing a shooter on a console so you don't really count.

Having said that MW1 was great, physics were near arcade but it was pretty good and you could get to max level in 24 hours and get whatever loadout worked for you. Dedicated servers meant good pings for all. PB was updated often and a few servers were extremely aggressive at weeding out cheats.

Then IW said 'oh hai, we crapped this out and it seems to work ok on xbox - you should all buy it' sadly people did, more people than ever. I must admit it was a good marketing campaign and they probably could have included a dose of AIDS in the packaging and it still would have sold.

The fact that it took Treyarch, the far and away lesser developer up until MW2, to put what are standard features in games usually back was never a good sign.

Anyone who played most of the COD series knows that it was always the Treyarch offerings that were crap.

how long did single player take you to beat and on what difficulty?

3rd and hard to say. I started at 1am and played until 5am then slept, then woke up around 2 and played till 4, then went out and don't know what time I got back but had it done about an hour after coming home

AWESOME SECRET

At the main menu, press L1, R1, L1, R1, L2, R2, L2, R2. This will initiate an interactive mode that will eventually lead you to a special mode known as "Black Ops Zombies: Zombie Ops." I'm not going to say how to access Zombie Ops... I can't take all the fun out of it :whistling:

    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
    • Hi,  Just joined the forum so I could share my "fix" of this problem. Might be of use to someone. Had the same hunting at idle issue on my V36 with VQ35HR engine after swapping the engine because the original one got overheated.  While changing the engine I made the mistake of cleaning the throttle bodies and tried all the tricks i could find to do a throttle relearn with no luck. Gave in and took it to a shop and they couldn't sort it. Then took it to my local Nissan dealership and they couldn't get it to idle properly. They said I'd need to replace the throttle bodies and the ecu probably costing more than the car is worth. So I had the idea of replacing the carbon I cleaned out with a thin layer of super glue and it's back to normal idle now. Bit rough but saved the car from the wreckers 🤣
    • After my last update, I went ahead with cleaning and restoring the entire fuel system. This included removing the tank and cleaning it with the Beyond Balistics solution, power washing it multiple times, drying it thoroughly, rinsing with IPA, drying again with heat gun and compressed air. Also, cleaning out the lines, fuel rail, and replacing the fuel pump with an OEM-style one. During the cleaning process, I replaced several hoses - including the breather hose on the fuel tank, which turned out to be the cause of the earlier fuel leak. This is what the old fuel filter looked like: Fuel tank before cleaning: Dirty Fuel Tank.mp4   Fuel tank after cleaning (some staining remains): Clean Fuel Tank.mp4 Both the OEM 270cc and new DeatschWerks 550cc injectors were cleaned professionally by a shop. Before reassembling everything, I tested the fuel flow by running the pump output into a container at the fuel filter location - flow looked good. I then fitted the new fuel filter and reassembled the rest of the system. Fuel Flow Test.mp4 Test 1 - 550cc injectors Ran the new fuel pump with its supplied diagonal strainer (different from OEM’s flat strainer) and my 550cc injectors using the same resized-injector map I had successfully used before. At first, it idled roughly and stalled when I applied throttle. Checked the spark plugs and found that they were fouled with carbon (likely from the earlier overly rich running when the injectors were clogged). After cleaning the plugs, the car started fine. However, it would only idle for 30–60 seconds before stalling, and while driving it would feel like a “fuel cut” after a few seconds - though it wouldn’t fully stall. Test 2 – Strainer swap Suspecting the diagonal strainer might not be reaching the tank bottom, I swapped it for the original flat strainer and filled the tank with ~45L of fuel. The issue persisted exactly the same. Test 3 – OEM injectors To eliminate tuning variables, I reinstalled the OEM 270cc injectors and reverted to the original map. Cleaned the spark plugs again just in-case. The stalling and “fuel cut” still remained.   At this stage, I suspect an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, caused during the cleaning process. This has led me to look into getting Frenchy’s fuel hanger and replacing the unit entirely. TL;DR: Cleaned and restored the fuel system (tank, lines, rail, pump). Tested 550cc injectors with the same resized-injector map as before, but the car stalls at idle and experiences what feels like “fuel cut” after a few seconds of driving. Swapped back to OEM injectors with original map to rule out tuning, but the issue persists. Now suspecting an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, possibly cause by the cleaning process.
