I was timing Morning Course 2 and I'm pretty sure you were 33.5 (Mell's car was 33 and you were driving it, hence the .5) I don't remember what the time was but it was up there.. I would have to have a look at the original time sheet (or a copy). From memory Reece was first in the Skyline, second in the Clio, Mitch was third in the Skyline then you were fourth, then Reece in the Clio in reverse was fifth (although it looks as though the times for the Clio in reverse were not included in the above results).. but that is just from memory, it may be slightly bais.

EDIT: I just had another look over the times and I would say that you have been put down as '34'. I remember that you started off slow and have a few tries before you got your good time. It would also mean you had the fourth fastest time which is what I said above :D

Ha ha ha, yeah I had a few goes where I spun the first two times, then nailed it pretty well two times after that...

I just wasn't sure, thought those times could have been someone elses... :D

Thanks MEL!

Pinky Rules!!!

Apart from a single lunch-time blast in MSD00F's MX-5 (thanks again, Anna!) just before the battle courses were set up, the only burning and thrashing I did on the day was burning the sausages on the BBQ, and subsequently thrashing all your taste-buds as you all ate them. Many thanks to BenM and my little sister Rosie for help with the BBQ on the day!

Oh well, next time I'll be out there giving the wagon another hiding, and hopefully I'll have some other Stageas along as well, and NOT just sitting in the car park.

does anyone know of any upcoming skidpan days organized by any other car club or been to one? I don't care what car club it is .. I'd just love to give it another go before the car sells ;)

Driftmob are holding a drift day at EC in a week or so

http://www.driftmob.com.au/forum/viewtopic...f=23&t=3060

The setup we use is the only setup like it in Sydney.

The alternatives are drifting style or state champ style (competitive short tight course la that aren't as skyline friendly)

that's what makes it interesting!

That driftmob day looks kinda interesting, I've done the peanut track once before in my R31 and EC peanut would not be as exciting as Texi. I haven't made any enquiries cos I haven't seen any SAUers post that they're going :P

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
