Might interest someone on here

I bought a series 4 RX7 in the same conditon about 15 years ago from auction.

Pretty much needed a fully dressed front cut to get ALL the bits needed to fix it.

take a lot of work to get it sorted. would only really be any good if you had a crashed car to take all the parts out of. basically the whole engine bay will need to be rewired, including headlights, etc.

If anyone is serious, talk to Arron from Importmonster

He just sold his car to re shell a crashed race car, so his old motor is for sale and I am sure you could chase up the wrecked one for the remaining parts like wiring, plastic bits and pieces etc.

Depending on price, I don't think it'd be that bad of a buy.

I personally have "all the parts" (that I can see needs to be replaced) to fix it, just from looking at the damage now.

Not sure how much damage there is on the actualy chassis - warping or the likes.

Hazard a guess, front shocks are gone, engine loom will be shot, inner guards,

- The fire looks contained, hasn't travelled far back - doesn't look like its hit the firewall at all.

Looks bad I reckon cause of the carbon fibre bonnet.

- Look at the radiator, I've seen worst condition radiators in cars that haven't gone up in flames.

Anyone know when this is going up for auction?

- Don't think the lister had an idea when putting it up.

11/01? Compliance date - well it looks date like on the plate.

And should be 6 speed.

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
