Hi guys, thought I would join this forum (I am from GTROC in the UK) & work for Newera Japan.

I have owned several GTRs, with my last R34 GT-R going to its new owner last week.

It's new replacement however is now on its way from Chiba from a friend of mine (Gio) who created this amazing BNR34 from scratch with the help of Top Secret. Newera filmed this car in Japan & took it for a 320kph + run on the wangan back in 2006 when it was in its previous lesser state of tune…(video is on youtube)

Some of you may have seen its now updated look & spec it on a friend of mine (DCD) blog on speedhunters.

Impressed.

Start a thread in the project section for the black one and your ae86

Thanks i may do that, but tbh the car (again isnt black lol) but its one of the most complete GTRs built.

There isnt anything else that needs doing to it (or avaliable), you name it, its prob got it lol

ive put a few pics of japanese GT-R meets here:

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ja...iaries-f64.html

You obtained a Top Secret built R34 GTR, which is wicked!

How are the twin high mounts?

Is there lag in them like a single high mount or are they quite responsive?

extremely responsive, check the dyno. Its a HKS Step 3, 2.8.

The v cam helps the response as well

this is one of Nagatas favourite R34s.

Its been re built twice by them, the final incarnation is what you see above.

All genuine parts have been used, such as the Nismo full body kit, etc

There is alot of work which the photos do not display, attention to detail, such as the Robson leather interior or all the suspension work underneath including the seam welding

  1. Surely this surpasses the $250,000 sale of a Z-Tune (or maybe at least in build cost)
  2. IMHO this pretty much sh!ts on a Z-Tune not only in terms of performance, but visually
  3. This is pure car p0rn, please dont change the way it looks
  4. What they've done here isnt fair to everyone else, all other GTR's now seem inadequate... similar to that of a man with a small ____
  5. Top Secret and Mr. Nagata have outdone themselves yet again
  6. What on earth was your friend thinking when he sold this? This car would complete a man's life

hi yes the build cost is throu the roof, however what you have is one of the (IMO) best GT-Rs ever created

Things like the bonnet is £4,000 GBP, the v cam system is a limited run (That only the tuners have) not the mass market v cam, your price above would just about cover the engine build and the aero i would think

my friend was very good to sell it to me, his owned the car for many years in various states of tune thro top secret

(i think his nuts too but hey ho lol)

    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
