got my a 3 inch dump pipe on its way :(

just need a t3 turbo-manifold gasket

anyone know how much nissan charge for one? or holden (vl turbo)?

or where i can get one for a decent price ($20 + 9 postage is a rip off for a little bit of metal)

Finally got the $$ to replace the so called seats in my S2... Upgraded to some GTR seats and they are so much better... although they are lower and im not quite used to it yet they hold you so much better... best of all they are a direct bolt on! Worthy upgrade if anybody is considering new seats.

Also upgraded the caster and camber bushes to some Whiteline replacements.... For all the S2 RS4 drivers make sure you purchase the KCA332 kit(for GTR) not the KCA331 (as the group buy recommends which are for a GTST)!! The old caster bushes were ruined when being removed so thankfully replacements came overnight!

Anybody else who has replaced these bushes... Noticed much of an improvement? Some people complain about the extra noise but to be honest I cant really notice much of a difference

Fitted new tie rods to the Stagea. Also got my R34 brakes at the last minute and fitted them Saturday morning, in time for ....

Threw the Stagea into a Time Attack at Mallala yesterday. Was fun indeed :(

Had a problem with misfire at 4,500-5,000 rpm making for early gear changes, ended up being the car running really rich and fouling plugs (from what I can gather).

1m33s consistently! ... on street tyres when everyone else was on semis. Had some awesome AWD power slides which entertained some SAU peeps who came for a look :D

Apart from running rich, the Stag ran excellent all day. Didn't overheat thanks to the 52mm radiator. Brakes didn't go to the floor. Just need to sort out the misfire and tyres. :P

First thing I did when I got my wagoon was change the front seats.. I went with 33gtst seats as I still wanted a little cushiness (I've got GTR seats in my 32 and didn't want them in the daily).

I found it changed the whole driving perspective of the car, it went from riding on a bus, to driving a sports car :)

For those who have changed their seats:

How much lower do you actually sit?

I have a tonne of pics that compare the standard seats side-by-side to a 32R seat but still can't work out the perspective?

Reason I ask is that ultimately, I would like a pair of 33R seats to replace my couch up front. The problem is that i'm not the tallest person to ever walk the planet at around 5"6ish in the old language. I'm on the lowest setting now and still sit fairly high, but I don't wanna find out I can't see over the dash after I get the seats! :)

you sit a hell of a lot lower, that's for sure. i couldn't give you an exact measurement but definitely changes the driving perspective of the car

i've got aftermarket (garage impul) seats in my car which are kind of a cross between r33/r34gtr seats and my partner has to sit on a cushion to be able to see over the dash (she is just over 5" tall though)

Agreed, you do sit pretty low... With my standard seats I had the steering wheel at its highest position, now with the GTR seats the wheel is pretty much as low as it goes. Ill see if i can measure the height difference

I'm 5"10 and to be honest find it just high enough... My wife who is 5'5 or so cracked the shits as she think its too low for her to drive (no complaints from me though!! :)

Hey Mike

I used to have the same Impul seats in my stagea. The problem with them is they have skyline rails, so they sit low as they were made for the Impul r33 sedans.

If you fit aftemarket (bride) stagea rails they will sit higher. The difference is approx 40-60mm.

I have a spare RH stagea bride rail here if you want it :)

I am approx 5' 10" and found them a bit low.

GTR seats wil be the same.

thanks for the offer, but i love the position they put me in. i'm roughly 6"

the stag is only my weekend warrior so it doesn't get driven very much, and normally only by me anyway

New to the Stagea, not nissans though. I picked my stagea up on thursday. It had the GTR seats in it, had to put the seats in it from my r32 GTST i've just written off as the wife couldnt see over the steering wheel. i think i prefer the GTST seats myself.

My walbro fuel pump is in the mail, as is my nistune (3rd one for me, r32, 300zx and now the Stagea) and an EBC.

Gtr seats in stags rule

that's all I've got to say

and I got my am performance 3inch straight pipes put on the back of the stag...

And a resonator that's really not doing much

if you know wat I mean

pics later tonight!!

I actually like the low seating of the GTR seats. I have R33GTR seats in mine and am 5'11 and find it perfect. Its a pretty big difference from the regular seats, but I don't find the GTR seats stupidly low like some I've seen.

Installed the Defi Boost Gauge today. Decided to mount a bracket and sit the gauge on it, just for something different. Don't know if it will be its permanent home. Double sided tape for now until I make my mind up.

So far I love the position. Right in line with the cluster - easy to view.

LOL my mechanic mate said "how you going to use the hazard lights?" So I simply tapped the gauge and on come the hazards :D

I got mixed reactions from different mates on its position. Just experimenting, but its growing on me.

For those asking how much lower the GT-R seats are compared to the factory Stagea seats (at their lowest position), here's a photo from when I was swapping mine over:

Mind you, I always had my Stagea seat cushions set at their lowest position both front and rear.

Who knows mate. Aint too fussed either way. Built my dream car with 300 killer wasps, so I'm not going to complain ....

I've been told it is, and I've been told it isn't. It doesn't really phase me either way.

Its kind of like discovering your girlfriend wasn't really a model for sports illustrated, but she still looks hot :)

Thanks for that pick, Nick! I remember you posting it up some time ago and me saving it, but don't remember where it saved.

Chuckie, I might come and have a gander at your's or Bubba's sometime when i'm off cruches!

    • neither stumble or cut really seem to be an appropriate term....hard to explain its like a rev limiter but at 4k, but it violently shakes engine and entire vehicle as the rpms will not rise over 4k, even with slow acceleration. as soon as it hits 4k, it sounds like entire spark is lost entirely. plugs were 1.1 which I used as such, but later put in new plugs gapped down to .8 changed back after issue arose when I replaced the coils, still does it with either plug gap...damn and it was all running so good.
    • Oh how times have changed! I actually lean it out relative to my water/methanol injector duty cycle. The methanol adds a lot of fueling and you can then lean it out even more due to reduced knock.
    • Yeah my thoughts are the same, a well thought out WMI setup, would be slightly ahead of just straight E85 and you're also chemically intercooling the charged air, dropping it even further. This is why you need to add so much more fuel as soon as you spray. I remember someone taking me through their set up before (Dennis, has a R33, lives around Cabramatta - no idea if he's still around on this forum). He would target AFR 10:1 on 98, then as WMI ramped on, AFR would lean back up to 11:1. Amazingly, he did this all through his PowerFC, a relay to cut power to his EBC solenoid if there was not enough line pressure on his WMI kit. And of course, if there wasn't any boost made above gate pressure, you wouldn't be accessing the load cells with heaps of timing for WMI. One downside to that rudimentary setup, once the WMI came on, the EBC would unleash the dragon, and of course all the timing. Tyres would fry lol.
