It was a $55K-$60K car all day long...... Buyer got a great deal.

I had a mate who needed his property sold to bid but ufortunately missed out by 8 days.
He said he would of bid up to $57K.

That gives you an idea anyway.

Bob.

Def a great bargain for the new owner as such a car with genuinely low kms in such good condition is indeed rare

Hi Brad,

Is this your car? If so, I came across the previous owner on facebook as he shared this pic with me (looks like the bonnet badge is gold just like your car).

If its not your car, I've found another ADM to add to our list :)

Alright,

I have a question for all of you ADM owners.

Say servicing comes up and you need to replace certain things i.e. timing belt, pulleys, or maybe something more major i.e. oil pump

Would you replace it with improved / uprated parts such as Nismo timing belt, or nismo oil pump? or would you stick to standard genuine OEM Nissan parts?

I just stick with OEM Nissan.

How much better can a Nismo timing belt be in car that does less than a 1000 kms per year?:yes::yes:

If I drove the car a fair bit more then an uprated part such as a NISMO oil pump I would consider.

Generally speaking if you drive the car as a weekend toy with track work then 99.9% of the OEM Nissan parts would be fine.

My V-Spec 11 however is different. I would use upgraded parts in that without question.

It's been for sale for quite a while......... Unfortunately it's a struggle to find a buyer with that type of mileage.

Spotted another ADM today, again, red metallic. Stock height and stock rims, might have been the same one I spotted a while back. Was parked on the side of the road near the SAN hospital, wahroonga.

Looks like it's someone's grocery getter/school run car!

I understand what you ADMers go through now, every one I see I'm looking for the ADM features!

  • 2 weeks later...

Back in early 2011 I found an ADM parked on the side of the road which looked as though it was abandoned.

I've been trying to find my post at the time as it proved to be quite a conversation piece but with no avail.

If you look at my post #99 here -

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/343750-aussie-delivered-r32-gtrs/page-5 The bottom photo is the car in question.......

Anyway, I was driving between Thornleigh and Wahroonga when what appears on the side of the road....... Yep same car again.

I doubt it's had a wash since because it is undoubtedly the shabbiest ADM I've seen.

A real shame but I guess they can't all be glamour’s.

A quick U turn and here are the pics........ :yucky: :yucky:

BUT......... On a slightly different note - I've just got the heads up hat a very nice Red Wine ADM R32 is just about to pop up for sale. I'm begging a mate of mine to buy it but unfortunately his "director of domestic affairs" is playing hard ball.

Stay tuned and I'll reveal more info as it comes to hand.

Bob.

Is it shabby GTR registered? At least he uses it and gets to enjoy it I guess.

Bob, what is the price tag on that nice GTR up for sale?

I'm waiting to find out the price...... No idea at this stage.

The Shabby one is registered until August 2...........

Guys..........

I need you to answer this question:

How much is a Black ADM worth with the following

  • 170,000 kms
  • Documented history but with no books.
  • Slightly modified, rebuilt engine, fully documented.
  • Good body but needs about $1500.00 spent on it to make it very good.
  • In need of a tune.
  • BLITZ Boost Controller
  • Needs new drivers seat.
  • Big sound system.
  • 6 months rego.
  • Original wheels but stuffed tyres.

Thoughts?

Thanks.......

    • I hadn't thought about the variable power steering assist. Presumably, it will always be the same level of assist as you get in an S14. The R32/3/4 are either helliishly heavy (at low speeds) if the solenoid is not powered at all, or hellishly too light (at high speed) if it is powered all the time. I presume that it is PWM controlled on those cars. I hadn't thought about the S cars not having variable assist. ugh. What crappy plebby cars they must be!
    • Hmm yeah that is a good point. It looks like it'll just bolt in with no real issue besides maybe the bushings being different. My other concern was that 2 pin plug that I assume is used in some way to control the rack solenoid depending on the speed signal from the ecu. The DMAX rack doesn't even have that plug though so, don't think it'll matter. Might just order the rack and see how it goes. Will update this when I figure something out
    • I'd say it's a fair bet that the feed and return fluid lines will be in different enough spots that you would need to come up with a way to cut the originals short and adapt with new hard line adaption or braided teflon hoses or somesuch. But really, you have the car, you have the photos of the DMAX rack - you should be able to go out there and see for yourself whether they're in the same or different spots.
    • I've been doing some looking around and honestly was just considering throwing a new rack at it. I saw that the dmax silvia rack bolts up into the 33 with the silvia bushings but not sure if the high pressure lines will sit in the correct spot. I believe other version of the 33 rack are the same/similar to the racks that can be opened up without as much fuss so I assume the dmax rack would fit but any ideas?
    • I've never played with one, but I would expect that you are correct. That slot looks like it is intended to be used to unscrew the end, and the flats on the body would be better than grabbing it around the round bit with a pipe wrench. So, yeah, probably unscrews. You'll probably have to make a tool to drive in that slot.
