Hi...you guys are really sick...i luv it.......i recently acquired the car with the passing of my brother..........hence the name.

It is gunmetal gray....Recaro seats....is that standard?........but from what he told me its got a lot of really good bits on it.......what they are i am unsure of......but .........10.9 for the quarter is better than my Fairmont at 11.9 and i know how quick that is...............do you all meet sometime?

Would be great.....your knowledge is incredible......would luv it pick your brains and have a beer at the same time    again thanx for the

input......Cheers Jon

Hi Everyone....Happy New  year to one and all.......looking for some help trying to find out if the recently

acquired 1992 R32 is an import or one of the 100 Aussie delivered cars............Thanks for your input.........Cheers Jon

968 R32 GT-R's were built in the first month of production being August 1989.

Yours is one of these cars....... Courtesy of the GT-R Registry here is the data - http://gtr-registry.com/en-r32-colours.php

Congratulations........ Cheers, Bob.

NOW......the million dollar question..........i gotta have this baby insured..........be real nice to know that the GTR geek world think that should be............i can look on EBAY and assorted sites and get an idea but because of its build date is that relevant to its value.....Jon

Hi.........as i said your knowledge is incredible...........can i assume that August 1989 was the first release of the car.....and this car was in the first batch of cars made????

Yes correct......... Bob.

Ring Shannons and NRMA Veteran, Vintage and Classic Insurance.

Impossible for us to quote without seeing photos let alone the car.

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
