Hey guys,

I'm heading out this Saturday in the city with a small group and am looking for somewhere new to try. I personally like Sorry Grandma and La Di Da, but my missus wants to try something new because A) we've been to La Di Da a fair bit, and B) Sorry Grandma is full of 18yos (which is apparently really bad if you're over 18 and female). Basically we like house/dance, some class (nothing ridiculously expensive, but not scummy either), average age being in their 20's and must be located in the CBD.

I've searched all the "top club sites" and read numerous reviews, but can't find anything that really appeals.

Cheers.

What is the group likely to be comprised of in terms of male-female ratio? I can provide some recommendations based on that, as many places I know of aren't friendly towards big groups of males (or males at all lol), whilst others are much more liberal about patrons (my personal favourites).

Eve, Boutique, Electric lady land and onesixone... Thread closed... hahahaha

3 girls, 5 guys averaging about 22-25 in age, none of the guys are dodgy looking and we all dress pretty well. As for prices, we're expecting to pay a bit for entry and drinks, but it shouldn't be too bad considering we're staying in an apartment just above Melb Central Station, so we can pre-drink right up until we get there and don't have to worry about paying for a taxi.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, I'll look them up now.

Edit: On the type of music, it doesn't matter too much. I personally like progessive/trance, but no one else does. My girlfriend likes something she can sing to (more commercial), whilst half the other guys in the group like death metal.

last time i went we hit up cq, got into the rnb lounge. securitys okay, we got in with 4 girls 6 guys, everyone was well dressed although there was a guy in there with tradie jeans, crocks and a t shirt smoking blunts :S

anyway, i dont remember much after that, we couldnt get into any other places lol

Well counts out some of the places I was thinking LOL

Sounds like you need to go to places like

CQ - plenty of ass for you to look at there, good bonus when taking a mrs IMO given you cant have any fun

Lounge

Colonial Hotel (depends on the act/night)

There are other places that are similar but its more of an older crowd and probably not your scene

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
