Hes taking the piss.

At least someone got it.....

As for my car, grabbed a drum of E85 and went for a tune last week,

Before I got on the dyno I noticed my fuel pressure dropping and found a leak in the rail. Right under the TB too, tired to fix it but no luck..

In the meantime get a message that Trents dyno was now busted anyway and out of commision for a week or so...

So yeah :(

Pulled the rail out and got sick of playing with rubber O-rings, so Scotty fixed it with fire

,,,still in the process of reassmbly then the wait for dyno time...

This should be kando and others titled

Its good to compare them to the others out there!! So much bang for buck compared to the $$$ i have spent, if i had researched harder i know i would have taken this path rather than the Garrett, hence my constant loitering in this thread :D

We should make a drag meet at wsid even though I don have a skyline but still running a kando td05h18g

Battle of the kinugawas

Not a bad idea, more of an excuse to see what they can do... as well as meet up and checkout the various setups!

sure thing, let us ship out cars over to WA first :P

No E85 over there, so im NOT going :domokun:

Many people just fiddle with cam gear setting and leave it where power/results suggest its working better on the assumption that the cam gear "0" position is TDC. Fact is some prefer to dial the cam in to TDC and then fiddle with the timing so that they accurately know if 2deg retarded is actually 2deg retarded, rather then just a nominal number that may not translate to TDC

So have they not replaced the turbine wheel or they are all just like that to begin with?!?

No idea... gonna have to compare it with the pics I have. At the end of the day its very dishonest of Eiji to take my money and give me something back that was in a similar condition to how he received it. He knew what I had an issue with and if they are all like that then i would not expect to be paying for a new one...

Grab a 10mm socket and pull yours off for science.

How longs shipping take with kando? I ordered my T67 2 weeks ago and still nothing, 3 days after I bought it I asked him if it was sent and he said hes still making it? Why list something on ebay if its not ready to be shipped?

Yeh the "hilarious" comment was directed at the turbine blade being supposing replaced/fixed.

Was such a pain to get him to do anything, I was emailing him every 3-4 days just to keep things moving. the turbo was sitting lost in his factory for a week before I emailed him and then he found the thing.

    • Version 1 aluminium airbox is.......not acceptable No pics as I "didn't like the look.....alot" Even after all my "CAD", and measurements, the leg near the fusebox just didn't sit right as it ended up about 10mm long and made the angle of the dangle look wrong, the height was a little short as well, meh, I wasn't that confident that Version 1 was going to be an instant winner I might give Version 2 another go, there's plenty of aluminium at work, but, after having in on and off a few times, and laying in the old OEM airbox without the new pod filter and MAF, there may be an option to modify the OEM air box and still use the Autoexe front cover and filter.... maybe This >  Needs to fit in here, but using the panel, and not the pod, the MAF will need to fit in the airbox though> I'm thinking as the old OEM box and Autoexe cover that is sitting in the shed is just sitting around doing nothing, and they are relatively abundant and cheap to replace if I mess it up and need another, it may well fit with some modifications to how the Autoexe brackets mounts to the rad support, and some dremiling to move it get in there, should give me some more room for activities, as I don't want to move the MAF and affect the tune Sealing the hole it requires to stick it in the air box is simple, a tight fit and some pinch weld will seal it up tight  I am calling this a later problem though
    • and it ends up being already priced in as though you're just on 91RON without any ethanol. Car will lose a bit of economy as the short and long term fuel trims bring down the AFR back to stoich or whatever it is for cruise/idle for the engine.
    • Oh, you are right. But, in Australia E10 is based on 91RON fuel and ends up being 94RON. Hence it being the cheaper option for economy cars. The more performance oriented cars go for the 98RON fuel that has no ethanol mixed in. The only step up we have left then at some petrol stations is E85.
    • There is a warning that "this thread is super old" but they ignore that anyway...
    • With 10% Ethanol, we're talking 2-3% fuel consumption difference. The emissions reductions and octane boost in my opinion far outweigh this almost non existent loss.    My tanks sitting at 80%. Luckily that should go down fast as I'm on vacation again for the next two weeks.
