yeah I have never used a front cup slick but I think they are 240 and maybe smaller diameters than the rears some of the guys us on the R35

Troy doesn't have any semis in my size, who else is parting with second hand semis? 235 17s I'm after.

Don't really have the spare coin to drop 12-1400 on some new cheap ones.

Fitted 24/64 18s on r34 gtr rims to my track r32 gtst today. Clearance on the inside of the front tyres is very very tight.

The tyres seem to have a slight stretch on the 18x9 rim.

What sort of cold tyre pressure woukd be good. Shoould i up the swaybars f+r?

Cheers guys, i think its fair to say these tyres gave been thru many heat cycles and im guessing they will offer less grip than a good semi. Its probably worth noting ive never driven on semis and have only done one track day at QR and am using these tyres because they are cheap to practice on and can handle 5 hot lap sessions.

I think the guards are going to need rolling min. On a side note i think the rims these 24/64-18 tyres come off are 9 inch wide, the '11 car has 9.5s on the front but uses the same tyre.

bump.

so i used slicks for the first time - and even after 6 laps still couldnt get any heat in them.

Ryan (boz22n) and I think they are just too big for my lil POS. (220/45/15)

was quite a challenge trying to keep the car straight on turn in, mid and corner exit! was fun..but not good for times!

So Im thinking - prob no point running these slicks anymore? (dunlops - not 100% sure on model)

Modern dunlops are radial construction , they tend to like a lot of camber.....possibly not available on a standard car, MX5 is it? Whole host of other unknowns from the description. One mate bought several new sets for his historic sedan after he reacquired it - after a long absence - from a certain Melbourne outlet (well known), only to find it drove like it was on a skidpan, turns out, stock was from the same era he last drove too, lol.

Im running -3.5 camber up front and -3 on rear (although it needs an alignment again :D )

hmm...

might chuck these on ebay as I honestly dont see myself using them again - then put money to cams and ecu haha

    • Hey guys I’m looking to buy an r32 gtr and it looks like the shop who’s done some work on the motor was done at Fujii Dynamic in Japan. Looking to find if anyone is familiar with this shop since there not much info I could find.    All I could find was the owner has passed away early 2000s and had previously owned a 1000hp r33 for drag racing. 
    • GTR front looks good. If you don't like it, I'll swap you a rolling shell R33 for it. Give you a fresh base to start with.
