Got these fitted today, look great, thanks Dale!

Rear bar was an issue, not a lot of clearance around my exhaust, but it *just* fit!

Front one was a bit of a bitch with the links and mounting points, but not too bad. No issues with rubbing/grinding.

Are there adjustable links available for the front?

So far I don't feel much of a difference, but going for a hills run tomorrow to see how it is on a windy road. I have a feeling my stuffed stock shocks won't be helping the situation, so have to bump coilovers up the list...

I didn't end up getting the adjustable rear toe arms installed. Dad and I did the install in his workshop and he recommended I get them to fit it when I next get a wheel alignment. I think I'll do that in the next week or two, as we did notice some feathering on the rear tyres that we didn't notice at the service around 1000-2000 km ago.

That's great mate! It is a little tricky to thread in around the exhaust, but it's possible. Dropping a couple of the hangers helps with getting a bit more space.

I have some very short Whiteline H/D Ball Links that I've been working with, on and off for a while now; It's proving quite difficult, as due to the angle up over the top of the lower control arm, it's difficult to get the same kind of articulation available with the OEM links.

The OEM ones don't suffer for strength, so I'm not looking to pursue it much further. The amount of machined parts I've had to manufacture so far (spacers, shouldered bushes and mount plates) to adapt the universal links would make them fairly pricey, for something that doesn't really work as well as the original.

No problems Dale, thanks.

I did actually drop a couple of hangers while we were doing the fitting. Not sure if its such an issue on cars with different exhausts, but it did just fit, so no issues.

Took it for a hills run today and what a difference! Body roll is greatly reduced and turn in is much improved. Love it! Even the girlfriend noticed the difference!

Thanks for your efforts Dale, much appreciated.

Well i finally had time to fit the Sway bars today......no problems encountered with the install at all. Took advice from here and dropped the exhaust from the back two hangers to allow more room for the rear bar to be removed and new one installed.

First impression was how solid and firm it made the steering feel from the wheel, even simple turns and lane changes....

Certainly notice that there is less body roll and it is noticeably more 'eager' to duck into turns. Cornering feels much more natural. I dont feel like I am fighting the car around the corner anymore but more guiding it through - feels like the car is now inviting me to take each corner faster! :whistling:

Well worth the investment

Thanks again Dale

Great to hear mate, glad you got them on with no issues  .

I reckon they make the car feel so much smaller and nimble to drive.

Thanks for the positive feedback; both about the bars and for myself, really appreciated.

Off topic; You don't happen to know a guy called Shaun Chillcot? I work with him, he's a Prince nut; reckons he's seen a couple of your cars...

Cheers, Dale.

Certainly do know Shaun. He recently sold one of his cars. He would know me also seeing he should be getting all my emails from The Prince Skyline GT Register. First met him at Bathurst in 2006 when i organised a National Meeting for the Prince Register. I had my light blue Prince there. Had a good long chat with Shaun at the bar on the first night. Beers were flowin' nicely...

Say g'day for me....

Will do mate, yeah I don't think he really wanted to let it go, but I think he got what he was wanting; pricewise.

Shaun likes a drink & a chat? Lol, I had no idea...:whistling:

Hi guys,
I'm rather sad to inform you all; but Whiteline's BNF44Z and BNR38Z will now no longer be available. :/

Over the last 12 months demand for these has steadily declined, to the point that Whiteline are not planning another production run unless they receive an order for 25-30 complete sets.
I cannot possibly afford to make an order that large; and current demand suggests that it would take me years to sell them if I did.

I'm not that surprised, as our vehicle is a very small market, and we are essentially the only place in the world that has a decent number outside Japan.
Most other Whiteline products have large markets; often in multiple countries, so it is understandable that it is not cost effective to keep large numbers of low demand parts in stock costing large amounts of store.
I'd prefer people didn't criticize Whiteline for dropping these parts from their line-up; if we had reasonable demand they would still be producing.
If you are ready to grizzle; ask yourself if you supported them & bought a set. :whistling:

Note that this doesn't affect the availability of any other parts; on the BNF44Z and BNR38Z. Whiteline continue to supply all other parts and replacement bushes.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Whiteline for supporting us with both excellent quality parts and back up, and for continuing to bring innovative, high quality handling & alignment parts to the market.

When I found out what was happening; I had my supplier grab any complete sets that were available. I managed to get what I believe are the last 2 pairs available. I have one pair left.

Cheers, Dale.

It is, but there are plenty of "wait & see" buyers that will be ready to complain now they can't get them.

Pretty much, the market is pretty well supplied now; I'd need a decent order to justify past what material I have left.

Never say never though.

If this last bit ^ is referring the front chassis brace, I was joking seeeing as you make them, not (some sweat shop working for) Whiteline, lol.

I hope mine is made before you run out of material or I'll be sad :(

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
