4mm & 6mm both came in a 3mtr pack not cheep either. but they dont make a 10mm hose for the breather to the rocker cover :(

Make sure you replace it though, just use fuel hose or something. Mine was badly cracked, hardened and leaking.

Win. Cheers Leon. They do all the different lengths too. Since I've already broken a couple might just go to town and replace them all.

Sometime after I get that cruise control fitted... :whistling:

Yeah, I ordered a half metre of one thing, 2m of another. Just mix & match sizes & lengths till you've got an engine bay full.

And what's the deal with you buying everything & fitting nothing  . Get that CC installed already, lol.

Might have to get some. I like the blue, not as rice as red but still nice. Matches my HDI silicon too.

Hey Theo, what about this: http://www.ebay.com....#ht_1462wt_1180

Or this? http://www.ebay.com....9#ht_1155wt_922

if anything i'd go for the second one because the first one doesnt look flexable enough but i could be wrong LOL

damn i payed way to much for the 'turbo smart' hose through autobarn :( ahwell

and NOTE: im talking about internal diameter of the hose.

now that ive replaced all the vacuum hoses the cars running sluggish as hell and sits on 10PSI and barely reaches 12PSI at higher rev's(should be 16PSI easy!!!)................ i found the restricter in the wastegate hose and put it back in and there seems to be no leaks cos its sitting on 15-16Inhg in gear.

hhmmm what am i missing ???

  • 2 weeks later...

after replacing all the vacuum hoses the cars driving like sh!t, i just wanna kick it in the c*nt LOL

tryed putting on a turbosmart boost tee to see if it helped any, seems its worse than the stock system as it cant hold the boost very well.........

does anyone know the correct sizes for all the vacuum lines? i measured the outlets that the hoses sit on at 4mm and 6mm but doesnt mean the hoses werent smaller and stretched over the fittings...........

but possibly my turbo is on the way out anyways so that might be the reason why its running stuggier and wont hit the same PSI as before.......

    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG has not responded to my emails so far since purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
