Have you got the folders with the books in them somewhere in their subfolders (a1, a2 etc)?

You need to go to NFset.exe I think it is and manually select the books. I think there are 8 slots, but theres enough for the JDM books anyway. one book on each line

Once your in NFset you should see the file path line and you can browse to select the folders

Make sure you have all the A's and B's from memory in there (one folder for each line) then try again

Are there folders in the A1, A2 etc or do I just select the whole folder eg A1, A2 as I have done, I'll check over it in the morning when i get on my pc, also if I didn't do the folders correctly would the parts show up if you enter the model manually as that works for me at the moment.

No just need to select the A1 folders etc.

Seems odd. I do recall there were certain vins that didnt work (but I thought these were pretty rare) so maybe try another VIN. Is it possible the R34 VINS being looked for are from later on then the year the books go up to? Say for instance if they are a 1999 copy of the parts books but you are looking for a 2002 model?

no idea just a thought

Here is what I did and this works in windows 64 bit systems so no messing around with virtual windows setup which is a pain in the ass.

NISSAN FAST 2010 and A1, A2, A3, B1, B2 CDs

This will install on 32-bit and 64-bit systems.

http://depositfiles.com/files/c3dqowelq

(this will be approx. 1GB in size)

Instructions

  • Open the NISSAN_FAST_2010_A1_A2_A3_B1_B2.zip file.
  • Extract/Drag the 'NISSAN' folder to your local disk (E.g. C:\ drive).
  • Navigate to 'C:\NISSAN\FASTPRG\WIN2000\SETUP' and open 'SETUP.EXE'.
  • Click 'Next' a few times and complete the setup.
  • Navigate to 'C:\NISSAN' and open 'Nfset'.
  • Select the 'CD-ROM SETUP' tab and add all CDs from 'C:\NISSAN\CD' (A1, A2, A3, B1, B2) by selecting 'Browse' for each drive number.
  • This step is not necessary. In 'Control Panel' open your 'Fonts' folder. Click on 'Font Settings' and make sure 'Hide fonts based on language settings' is unchecked. While in Nfset, click on the 'ALL' tab and select 'MS Gothic' as the font and script to Japanese
  • Now open 'Nissan Menu' from the Start menu.

Hopefully I've explained this as easy as possible and didn't miss any steps.

Cheers,

Ants

Press that

Hey man thanks for the reply, yeah I figured that out just before noticed it in another thread lol, and this whole time I was thinking the Nissan I go to are stupid because the part numbers never worked, turns out I haven't been giving them part numbers lol.

Worked for me, only difference is I didn't have MS Gothic so used Courier font and so far it looks fine.

[it took me a while to leave XP....lol but eventually I had to bend to the winds of change so skipped straight to 10]

And if you have issues try downloading early in the morning, only took me 1 1/2 hours [and I'm on a really slow connection]. I did try at night but it kept stopping and was really slow [+8 hrs], so I gave up on that.

Hello peeps,

I have been running FAST for years but I recently got a 2004 model car, and my A1/A2/A3/B1/B2 CD set are only 2001 so it doesn't show up.

I just spent 2 hours downloading and extracting the "2010" version only to find out it too has the 2001 CD's. I am 18 years IT veteran and I know what I'm doing in the config files and I used a new directory for the "2010" files, and changed my Directory Setups to the new directory, but I confirmed this as the files in the new "2010" directory have 2001 dates! The same as my old "CD" directory files!

Can anyone confirm they have a CD set newer that '2001/10', (/Help/Version Info) and if they do, where I can get it from?

BTW, my version says v3.50 and I'm running on Windows 10. I have heard there is a ver 5...Is that true?

Thanks heaps, awesome, it works...just have to start in the menu each time, and select 'AR' or 'JP' depending on the vehicle.

I think I should have probably uninstalled and removed all the older version first, but it went in 'over the top'. I wanted to install it in a different directory, but it didn't let me and put it in C:\Nissan again, like the old version.

I've found a better font for Windows than MS Gothic, that displays Japanese script well.

MIGU 1M (Monospaced)

I tried MIGU 2M, but 1M, regular, in 11pt size, and ensure you set Script to 'Japanese', not 'Western' (using NFSET utility)

It's much better than MS Gothic, I think.

This is Win10,  1920x1200 screen.

    • sold listed as a Tomei LSD 1.5 Way For 1998+ Nissan Skyline ER34 25GT RB25DE w/Open R200 https://www.ebay.com/itm/174006114594?campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms=&campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=71883f2ccc571356e0a757bc7adfdde2&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms= it went in like butter all gears, alignment, back lash etc, rotation and clearances correct, and if rolling all rotates smooth and free when coasting down road , clutch in or out over 10 mph smooth... its the binding, clunking and jerking from a stop that is most concerning, also seems like its going to tear the tires off in 10 miles of normal road driving.
    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
