Stagea 15Th Anniversary Event...

Hey people,

Terry (one of the Execs for SAU-NSW) has put on a few excellent events in the past, including cruises for the 10th Anniversary of the R34 and 21st Anniversary of the R32, amongst quite a bit of other stuff.

Previous events have included media coverage on Motive DVD and in PI (or HPI or whatever it is now) magazine, as well as a few articles in the motoring sections of Sydney newspapers.

Basically Terry and myself would like to know how many people would be interested in having an event for the 15th Anniversary of the Stagea. It will be NSW-based, but everyone who can make it will be more than welcome to come along.

So, throw some ideas around and we'll see if we can get the ball rolling!

count me in and make it a sunday ;) thats my day off a week.

and for gods sake, dont host it out back of west sydney or anything (penrith or blacktown area), make it a nice cruise to somewhere nice, like a sydney to canberra or small-medium cruise like sydney to wollongong.

How would this sound as a proposal?... :action-smiley-069:

Date:- Sunday 2nd October on the long weekend (but a week before Bathurst races). It's also the 1st day of Daylight Saving.

Time:- 10am > Leave at 11am

Meetup:- Top Secret Imports 36 Forge St Blacktown with only Stageas lined up along the outside of the sweeper up to Top Secret itself, for photography purposes

Sponsorship:- Top Secret Imports (but they're only discussing it at this moment - but plans can be changed if we're rejected)

Destination:- West Head at the end of West Head Rd, Ku-ring-gai Chase National Pk.

Overview:- West Head Rd is newly laid out hotmix tar, with a great lookout at the end. Electric BBQs.

It would be busy there on a long weekend with parking spots along that stretch.

UHF radios are an advantage so that we can gradually fill up the carpark at the end in due course.

Other ideas are welcome!

I've got to laugh about Cordeaux Dam...

When I was 17 and Treasurer of a different organisation, I set up a mystery tour to Cordeaux. It's a great spot!

Yes, let's consider that one too.

If we get a sponsor, then they might offer collateral for prizes. If I had a Stag - a powered up Stag - or a great looking Stag; I wouldn't knock back a prize/trophy.

Will consider Homebush Bay.

Will need to do a Recon anyway.

I am sure we could get some more from this side of the border

(any free accommodation available??...hmmm last weekend of school holidays in Qld as well)

      Started sifting thru my brakes to decide which ones I will run on Clem   Made me think I should just put them all on Silver...for when brake fade just isn't an option   Should be able to bump rotor up from 343x32 to 348x36 off Supra. Not sure if the Supra annulus is right for the Alcons or APs but trying g to find a used Supra\M4 rotor to test fit The Alcons seem to gain 1-2mm clearance which all helps

      So car is getting a few mods to the cage and some jacking points welded in Meantime Ol Silver gets a new gearbox and shiny clutch.  Old Box is being set aside for Clem

      Probably speedometer itself if the odometer is ticking. If the needle is stuck from a bit of grease or something that can cause it to stay at 0. Or a cracked solder joint in the speedometer can do it too.

      Thanks Fella’s   to take this off topic and to elaborate a bit more. I have an rb25/30 going into a r32 GTST.. expected to make around 600-700hp. Would you?   A) R34 GTT box   B) CD00#?  I’ve seen a few posts about the CD swap and sounds fairly involved with making it fit etc but if it’s worth the work then I’ll go that way

      Lower at the hubs. Funny I forgot to mention that part. Do this pull here I turned the camera off too soon but the graph shows a drop at the top and that was because the pipe from the turbo blew off. The tuner said we could’ve made possibly another 15 whp. He also added if I switched to ethanol we could up the boost some more as well. I was comfortable capping it at the most of 20 pounds. Turns out the turbo pipe just needed a new worm clamp. Got home replaced that then did a third gear pull from 3k to 7200 rpm and the power was great to the top. I just got an ecu mounting bracket from IEE that I need to try and get everything to fit well. It’s a PITA to get the harness and ecu fit properly behind that kick plate
