meshy :D i love them both, if ya have to pick one over the other i'd go with the one on the right (the one of the rear of the 34)... everyone knows the rear of a skyline is its PHATTEST part :P

Thanks DJ.

Guys, I need to know a few things...

1. who gives the OK on these?

2. How Many?

3. I have attached the original below? Is this correct if we don't go with the above designs.

4. Where do these get delivered & by what time?

#1 im assuming james, andrew, ash or shan could 'ok' them

- Can someone get in contact with them to OK it, so I can arrange the printing today.

#2 at a rough guess perhaps 500 ? or is that too many ?

- No Problems.

#3 i cant see the original :D

- Check now.

#4 and i have no idea, one of our houses by tomorrow afternoon i guess

- Please confirm

1. - The only thing Im not sure on here is if there is going to be additional costs involved compared to the originals. There is no doubt they are much better than the originals and seeing as Nath loves my ass so much Im happy with that choice if there isnt a cost consideration.

2. I need some confirmation but I have a gut feeling that last year there was 500 printed and it wasnt enough. They were all gone by Sat afternoon.

4. When will they be ready? Im sure one of us can pick them up either on Friday on the way in or Sat morning on the way in. Either way we have people coming in from all directions.

alright spoke to ash, we need about 4000 flyers, as 2000 was only enough for half a day last year, maybe 5000 to be safe?

you have confirmation to go ahead from ash as long as the cost thing isnt major i guess (he didnt think of that i just read andrew's post and totally forgot about that aspect)

Guys,

Thought I might arrange the flyers to be spiced up a little...if it's ok, let me know which you prefer & how many we will need.

EDIT: forgot to mention they will be A5.

i love em but to me they look more like an advertisement for Autosalon 2004.

SKYLINES AUSTRALIA

should be the heading with the GT badge...

make the autosalon 2004 a little smaller and put an @ symbol infront of it or something... takes the focus off it and puts it on the SKYLINES AUSTRALIA part which is what you want...

    • Bit of a pity we don't have good images of the back/front of the PCB ~ that said, I found a YT vid of a teardown to replace dicky clock switches, and got enough of a glimpse to realize this PCB is the front-end to a connected to what I'll call PCBA, and as such this is all digital on this PCB..ergo, battery voltage probably doesn't make an appearance here ; that is, I'd expect them to do something on PCBA wrt power conditioning for the adjustment/display/switch PCB.... ....given what's transpired..ie; some permutation of 12vdc on a 5vdc with or without correct polarity...would explain why the zener said "no" and exploded. The transistor Q5 (M33) is likely to be a digital switching transistor...that is, package has builtin bias resistors to ensure it saturates as soon as base threshold voltage is reached (minimal rise/fall time)....and wrt the question 'what else could've fried?' ....well, I know there's an MCU on this board (display, I/O at a guess), and you hope they isolated it from this scenario...I got my crayons out, it looks a bit like this...   ...not a lot to see, or rather, everything you'd like to see disappears down a via to the other side...base drive for the transistor comes from somewhere else, what this transistor is switching is somewhere else...but the zener circuit is exclusive to all this ~ it's providing a set voltage (current limited by the 1K3 resistor R19)...and disappears somewhere else down the via I marked V out ; if the errant voltage 'jumped' the diode in the millisecond before it exploded, whatever that V out via feeds may have seen a spike... ....I'll just imagine that Q5 was switched off at the time, thus no damage should've been done....but whatever that zener feeds has to be checked... • I think Fitmit had some, have a look on there (theyre Australian as well)
    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
