Thanks Dale yeah its what i do for a living mate but i would like to start doing more car stuff though as people tend to appreciate nice pipework under a bonnet more than in a factory haha hopefully ill get it sorted this afternoon and get it on the dyno sometime this week am keen as hell to push the lil GTX and see how many horsepowers she is good for

Looks like you're pretty handy in the fabrication stakes there Mick. Well done, now get into running this thing up with some boost into it. :)

Looks like my car wont hit the rollers till Friday night now id say :whistling:

Gives me a bit of time to get my pressure test done and weld in my point for the boost control pinch.gif

Hoping this turbo has more than the 320kw that some have predicted and considering that it made 312kw with boost pissing out of it while it was trying to pump 22psi down her neck so im hoping to see 330kw at least! Or maybe im dreaming haha but bring on near 350 i say!:thanks:

I reckon 335rwkw @ 25psi plus with all the problems sorted out :P

PS your pipework looks awesome. Wish I could do that!

Id be happy with 335kw lol hoping this pipework helps boost and throttle response as i think those boost leaks may have been hindering my response

Thanks Justo keen to start doing more work like this i enjoy it

Hows ya ride coming along?

Thanks mate yeah bit the bullet and got rid of that ugly crap haha for sure mate always keen for a chat with a fellow enthusiast :)

Looks good Mick.. so glad you did away with that half peeled spongey crap piping.. Ill probably be working or hanging out at unigroup on friday arvo so be sure to say hi!

Not much progress unfortunately, crank is back at the crank place getting the crank collar fitted. Should have done it in the first place. :pirate:

Hey Mick_o, are you still running the "small can" 14psi actuator, or did you end up changing to the 18 or 19psi big can one?

Thanks sarge thats not actually a bad idea! Never even considered running it that way as i had my mind set on shortening up that pipe as much as possible but i like the idea of keeping the pipework outta the heat i think what ive done with my pipework would be less prone to heat soak as im nowhere near the radiator and there is less pipework directly over the top of the engine which should help keep intake temps down imo

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
