Think R33 Turbo Is Whining

please help sau

ive got a r33 ,when i drive it over 6-7000rpm somthing starts whining.i tryed reving in nutrole & nothing , only when its boosting or driving it . no smoke running out of it. ive taken the boost controler out & back to 7 psi.still the same

thing. I did notice it after I changed spark plugs.

please help me sau :sick:

yeah & only 7 answers came up. but thanks any way .i will have to have a look again ,ive got a screw in my rist not long a go,so maybe i didnt have enough strangth. not happy

I copied and pasted "+turbo +whine" into search and got 73 results. Maybe search works differently on my computer. :unsure:

The whine could be a turbo/manifold gasket leak, a leak from any hose clamp on the induction side or a split hose.

its more like a squeek then a whining sound and it only does it 6000-above rpm only .but i will double check all hoses.i thought if it could be the a/c comp. or power steering going too.

Mine did this when the bolts that hold the turbo on were loose, and it squeeled through the gasket. You know, how when you were a kid and put two gum leaves together an blew, making this shitty, annoying noise.

Check those bolts.
