If it helps, my electorate is safe Labor territory so it's a moot point (lots of tradies out my way haha)

Mine too kills me inside. I don't have anything against tradies I do however think unions should be disbanded works clearly have rights in this day an age so they are largely redundant bullies now

Without unions the builders will walk all over us. Call it what you want but the unions serve the workers and get shit done.

No union in domestic which is why the kids flipping burgers at McDonalds makes more than a domestic A grade electrician, and works in better conditions than one too

yeh that's why I don't like unions if I get sacked nobody gives two fks sack a bloke on Holden's production line or union workers it's an uproar and they get redundancy packages but the bloke at maccas or any other non union protected industry gets sweet fk nothing

Who are unions and governments to decide if companies can sack ppl or not they should have no place in private enterprise if a company offers X wage and someone is happy to work for that why should anyone have power to say no u must pay at least X. Minimum wage is worst thing to happen to the world

if it werent for unions in my industry, people would have to work on-call for no extra money and any extra hours worked would be paid single time minus half an hour every four hours for the "lunch break" regardless of what hour it is. then no one would care if you worked every day for 21 days straight or if you worked more than 16 hours straight.

while I disagree with what the union tries to do a lot of the time, they have set a standard across the state. I went from an EBA to personal contract (blue collar to white collar) earlier this year and the contract was a crock of shit (hence why i left), the only people who took it wanted salary instead of hourly rate and/or couldnt get a job with a decent utility because of lack of skills. my current job isnt EBA but follows the standard they set. but they ask for the most ridiculous things now to get workers excited and to justify their existence.

without minimum wage, places like mechanics, retail stores, restaurants etc would have people working for $5/h which would then result in no-one signing up to do those jobs.... lack of competition would end up in price rises and we would all suffer. Not to mention that amount of people that would then just dole-bludge as it would pay the same...

also, i'd like to see you work for a good 12 months below minimum wage after undertaking a 1-4 year TAFE qualification and see you repeat that comment

no they would get paid more, because if they are good at what they do then the boss would reward them with higher pay to keep them rather than the unmotivated $5 an hour whingers. Instead they get a guaranteed minimum pay and still whinge and provide fk all service. We already are suffering from price rises jesus how expensive is everything these days? Penalty rates need to go as well just cos you work Sunday you don't deserve more than the poor bloke working 9-5 monday to friday unless u exceed the standard work week hours you should be paid the same.

retail is the perfect example they dont give two f*ks about customers and heck why should they? they gonna get paid regardless. I bet if they were paid bonuses or remove that safety net different story!

mate i go to work and get paid 0! its up to me to earn money day in day out so dont tell me about below minimum wage i got NO wage.

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahaha

you don't actually believe that would happen do you? some bosses will do this, most wont.

go to a fine dining restaurant and the only reason you get minimum wage is because it's legislated, and even then you have to work a LOT more than 38 hours to get it... like 70+

End of the day, people by nature are greedy, selfish and opportunistic assholes. without MW we would just have people taking advantage and paying far far less than they do now. If being a chef for 10 years taught me anything, it's that there is ALWAYS someone with less skill than you that will take your job for less money, and do a shit job. And employers will settle for that in 95% of situations

no doubt. Although not seeing a lot of that as banks are nowhere near as loose as years gone by

without giving too much away we now lend based on very different criteria, one of those is being assessed on a different (higher) interest rate than whatever products we are offering.

What home loan rate are NAB offering Hamish?

Commonwealth are about to jack mine up after the initial discount rate period or whatever, but considering rates are at an all time low I'm not gonna stick with them if they don't keep it the same or lower.

    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
    • So now we have a radiator with no attachments whatsoever. It lifts up with a particularly tight spot between the drivers side air box mount and the lower radiator outlet, but if you've got this far you will sort that too. This is the lower mounts with the rad out so you can see where the rubber bushes go, it is a straight shot upwards Done! Assembly is the reverse of disassembly, with blood less likely to be shed.
    • Right, onto the second last trick. The Air Con condenser is mounted to the front of the radiator and stays in the car when the radiator is removed. There are 2x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the condenser to the radiator, remove those The bottom of the condenser is attached to the radiator with clips. You need to lift the condenser out of those clips and clear (up, then forward). f**ked if  could work out how to do that last bit with the front bumper on. I hope you can, and you share the trick.  Bumper removal probably deserves its own thread one day once I've recovered the will to live, but basically you need to remove the wheels, front inner guard liners (clips and 10mm headed bolts), the self tapper between the guard and the bumper at the rearmost point of the bumper (same as an R32 that bit), any remaining clips at the top/front of the grill, an absolute bastard design with a plate that holds the top of the bumper above the headlight each side (only 1 bolt which is tricky to get to, but the plate catches 2 places on the bumper and must be removed....carefully!) and push clips between the bumper and guard under the headlight. If you've done all that you will be faced with wiring for the fog lights on both sides and in ADM Q50 RS at least, 4 nasty tight plugs on the driver's side for the ADAS stuff. So, the clips at the bottom look like this on drivers side (looking from the front) And on the passenger side (also from the front), you can see this one is already out Clearance on both of these are super tight; the condenser needs to move up but the upper rad support mount prevents that, and the radiator can't move down far because it is (rubber) mounted. Once you achieve the impossible and drop the condenser off those mounts so it does not stop the rad moving, you are good to go
    • OK, next the shroud needs to come off and there are a couple of tricks. Firstly, there is a loom from near the passenger side headlight to the fans, coolant temp sensor etc and there is no plug to undo.  In my case I was OK to leave the shroud on top of the engine so I just undid the passenger side fan plug and about 10 of the clips which gave enough free wire to put it aside. The fan plugs were super tight, the trick I used was a small falt screwdriver to push down on the release tab, then a larger flat screwdriver to lever the plug out of the fan unit....be careful with how much force you apply! If you need to remove the shroud altogether for some reason you will have to deal with all the plugs (tight) and clips (brittle)....good luck. I removed all of the clips and replaced them with cable ties that I will just cut next time. Also, in the Red Sport / 400R at least, the intake heat exchanger reservoir hose is bolted to the shroud in 2 places with 10mm headed bolts; so remove them (the hose stays in the car; no need to undo it at the t fittings down at the radiator lower mount. Once you've dealt with the HX hose and the wiring loom, there are 3x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the shroud to the radiator; remove those.   The shroud then lifts out of the bottom mounts where it sits on the radiator, up and onto the engine out of the way. Simples
