farkin christmas presents. Could have spent that money on something more useful.... like on my car :turned:

On another note; found 55pounds from last holiday on my prepaid travel credit card. winning!

Man I'm watching my bank account drop its fkn annoying. Especially that I only get paid monthly.

Yeh my Missus has the rx8 GT 2nd gen. The last one actually. Bit slow, but I still like it. Great fun to drive

Yeah I didn't mint it to be honest, he's a very big unit though so always good to give him a tease about it. Looks very funny driving it.

It was pretty quick, handled very well I thought. Definitely not used to that sort of power delivery though. Reckons it does 0-100 in about 6.2? Or something along those lines. Found that pretty surprising but I'd be keen to see what it can do on a track.

Ahh okay excellent, do you remember roughly what kilometres that was done at? I just ticked to 150,xxx so it's on my mind :P

im pretty sure it was nearly spot on 100K

ahah yeah i can understand :P

im about to start collecting parts for my next 100K

I think it takes a little longer than that.. But yeh I'm really keen to throw it at a deca or something but she'll never let me lol

Just an update on the car

Looks as though the theif thrashed the car on 91 Octane which may have led to the car breaking down

No biggie engine is covered under insurance. So rebuild here I come

Not yet.

Still waiting to get the car inspected by justcars, then Im going to get it inspected independently.

Process might take about 2-3 weeks as everyone is closed or on holiday.

Mechanical is covered under insurance, so if its a blown engine then yeah new engine rebuild

Had a rolling with Leigh...1.5 car lengths, I'm happy with that!

Lol we gotta go for longer next time :P

good fun though, makes me want to go out looking for races tonight - would be interesting to see flat road and like a 30km/h roll on I reckon! let me know if you feel like shenanigans later

Just abit worrying that if they see manifolds hi flow intercooler etc and then not cover it.

lol do it

personally im prob going to go for -9's

Then I'd need to get bigger injectors, up rated afm, clutch, and spare $ for rebuild in case mine dies...

Not a bad way to piss money down in the drain!

Would if it wasn't cop season...get the feeling the defect squad will be out in force with holiday season. Gotta protect the people from front mount intercoolers and paint chips.

I was thinking of heading down Prinny (bro) later with a few of the ford forum boys, but yeah they'll be major cop action later.

For those of you round Donny (bro) there were a couple of HP cars between the Blackburn Rd exit on the Eastern and Doncaster road. On the access road.

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
