How much power do you want Gav? 600 + WHP is no slouch :P

Well, I've just destroyed my second OS Giken gearset and about the 5th standard box, but that's for another thread.

You know how it is - power is addictive but mid range torque is the stuff you sell your soul for

Holy jesus. Give it some mech sympathy! Did the OS box have the OS Centre plate also?

Gav really - 2nd gearset? Fkn hell!

So, speaking of torque..........whens the 3.0L conversion? Pauls driven mine, he understands :D

Don't you start. I love it so much I am seriously thinking about building a 3.0. The 'little' 2.8's can't compare!

No - didn't have the centre plate. OS now make to order with a 3 month lead time so I'm going a different route. That will open a whole can of hairy caterpillars so back on topic to the GTX28 series!

Someone needs to bite the bullet and whack these babies on. Graph overlap. You don't get something for nothing..... but it would be nice! As long as they dont shuffle/surge and no huge increase with boost threshold, they should be a great thing!

Will HKS bring something new out to match the garrett range?

Nice thread name change (looks at Stevo)

I'm not sure HKS would be able to pay for the rights these days, most of the big name Jap companies are struggling for cash.

Would be good to seem do a twin high mount 2867 ext gate kit....

.....for JZ's lol

Why would you want a high mount kit if it can be hidden and no one would know any different?

JZ's.... Supraforums buddy.... - - - > Over there!

Because it is all about the bling haha

No I agree though, factory low mount stuff is great if it performs well, which the Rb26 has wrapped up very well as is

and Meh at SF lol

Paul and I are at Unigroup today discussing that-just trying to get the compressor dimensions of a range of turbos so Yavuz and his turbo building mate can give us their thoughts.

I don't have to say anything about a 3L. In the back of your mind you already know its the way to go ;)

    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
    • It's been quite the ordeal but hey, at least you figured it out.
    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
