Frisky is my Ex wife, she has NO bussiness issues with me its all personal......

It's no secret we've had some time frame issues as of late and some miscommunication between customers because of various reasons

I've been trying to work through these backlogs and keep everyone happy as well as try to continue on with my work.

The reality is I am getting good quality work done and also getting through my backlog at the same time.

I Am essentially a one man operation and when I had things going on the work load fell behind. I have not got 5 employees to help take up the slack unfortunatly if I have a human moment and need some time out everything suffers

Financially the bussiness Is struggling a little due to alot of external influences and also some lack of attention on my behalf. I am working through this and slowly trying to get ontop of everything.

In NO way is there any intention to rip anyone off or strip anyone of their hard earned money.

Things like this do not help and make it even harder, for years I've helped and supported this community and at this time I do need a little slack cut so I can work through what's happening. Yes it's been slow and I'm apologising I can't fix everything overnight despite trying.

Again there is no intention of ripping anyone off and after years of good service to this community I'd hope people would understand that's never my way of doing bussiness.

Guys like John & others have been giving me the oppertunity to build their cars and they are still getting quality work for great prices. time frames are longer at the moment understandably due to the backlog and surrounding issues. For years I've supplied this community with knowledge, quality cage work, alloy work and all for prices that you won't normally get. If I turn around and close it all that's gone which benefits no one.

The people who come to the workshop have seen how stressed Iam over all this and how hard im working to get infront again.

There is only one way I'm trying to communicate issues this Being email as I've said many times before. I can be slow replying again I apologise for that but my days are only 24hrs long and I have mountains of things I'm trying to get through.

I've only posted this in response to what's been going on and I won't be fronting it on here again.

Is rather be posting photos of the quality work we do that people can benifit from as opposed to this but its nessisary at this time.

Good on you for having the balls to respond Brad.

I don't think anyone has every questioned the quality of your work but the one thing that has hurt you is poor communication. I know it's a pain in the arse as it's highly unproductive but the unfortunate reality is when people are paying you money up front, they need to get feedback that their money is in good hands or they start to get nervous.

Mate put on a part time worker at least! Get a new mother that just wants to work 5 hours a day to come in a give every customer a quick email to say "hi, just letting you know that we're 2 weeks away from starting your surge tank" or "We've built the cage just waiting on....." Mate it would make such a huge difference to your business. It frees you up to do the amazing work that we all know you're capable of and keeps all of your customers happy at the same time.

Good luck with it all, I do hope you can win back over a lot of disappointed customers.

how about no more excuses! cut the bullshit! pay people back or give them what they have already paid for! This is the first step in resolving the whole business issue.

second to that the lack of your business management is not your customers issues and this should not be used as an excuse to take money from them blatantly lie to their faces and go on making cash on big jobs and posting them everywhere.

to anyone still waiting on parts/money i suggest you take it to the next level and take legal action because there is clearly no remorse from brad

Its Brads business and his responsibility to sort it out with the individuals on here. I try not to get involved in business that is not my own however I will make some comment on this from an outsiders perspective; outsider as in not involved in the issues directly but as 'by-standing' customer. If I can make clear, I am not a long time friend nor even previous acquaintance, I am 'new paying customer' and only knew Brad through these forums.

I can certainly understand the frustration and some people have every right to be upset.

What some people haven't seen and I have now from being in Brad's workshop over the last few weeks is that he is very genuinely concerned about the whole situation and more so he is actively working to fixing the outstanding issues (well, the ones that can be fixed simply). I have seen numerous sumps and surge tank set-ups on his bench being made for those that are outstanding.

To say he doesn't care, from what I have seen, is not correct. Again, appreciate people have parted with their hard earned and understandable that patience is wearing very thin and has worn out in some cases, but he is genuinely working to fixing the issues but it will take some time. I cant comment on all the situations but like I said I have seen the sumps and surge tanks and these will be sent off soon, heck I even offered to wrap and send those completed myself!

Brad's business has suffered considerably as a result of all this so he has every reason to want to rectify the issues. Its a shame this is happening. The business has so much to offer the car community as it is capable of providing great quality work at affordable prices - and who doesn't want that?! It would be a big loss if it were to shut its doors so I do hope the issues can be sorted for all involved and the business can get back to doing what it does best.

On my car, the amount of work that has gone into it is amazing. I didn't appreciate how much time it takes to fabricate things for cars. I am so glad I took the punt and took my car there. Admittedly, I took a big risk going there as I was aware of the issues prior (call me crazy...), but it paid off.. massively! There is no way I would have had the amount of work done and the quality of work done somewhere else for the price I paid and with the service and expert advice I have received.

Brad made some very bad calls/decisions and got caught up in a bad situation with his personal life and is now facing the consequences on all that. I genuinely believe he regrets a lot of what happened and would change things if he could but noone gets to do that. He can only work towards righting the wrongs and as stated from what I have seen he is trying to do this. In the process though, he is being hung, strung and quartered (some/most will say he deserves it) but I reckon almost every bloke deserves a 2nd chance. I gave him one and I cant thank him enough for what he has done for me and my car.

Take that as you will.

John

i got a hold of brad yesturday he says the surge tanks are done, and is sorting the delivery this week. if he sorts this mess out and everyone gets their goods that they have paid for. and keeps to his time frames within reason for future work, i reckon his shop will recover

I'm sick of hearing your positive experiences. My mates got ripped by this milkshake. One still owed a dry sump kit that he paid 6k for back in march (Now not answering calls or emails - must be producing quality surge tanks for eBay). Let alone the tens of thousands that my other mate lost through his lies and incompetencies.

Makes me wonder why his working so hard on your car and not fixing his problems? I reckon its ppl like u that praise him, which then gives the scum hope. Smell the roses, Ppl are getting SHAFTED, who cares if his work is of a good standard.

Eg... Fatz - Longest serving loyal sau'er, bent over!!!

GETSET: The only issue I have with what you've shared there is that you're getting a bit too personal and it's those sorts of comments that will get this thread locked and stop people from being able to discuss their issues.

This thread is purely for for people to discuss experiences with the work, issues with delays, etc, not to pass judgement or share personal information.

If you can still edit your post, I'd suggest you remove that section so this thread can remain open, I'm not a moderator though so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt if you want.

I'm all for people having a vent, one of reasons this thread is alive again is because I started calling people, pressuring Brad, and sharing my experiences online, but there is a line on what can be discussed on a public forum before we get into defamation territory. Just something to consider.

Sorry to hear about your mates, I was in the same boat and it was only with constant pressure and perseverance that I got my products. That said, if it's your mates with the issue, and not you personally, then it's better if they comment rather than you.

He is entitled to his opinion as I am to mine.

One thing though, don't blame me for either what is happening, for what is going to happen or for what is not happening. The issues have nothing to do with me and what I write are my own experience with the business.

You're no doubt doing everyone a favour by taking a risk and getting Brad some cash flow so he has the opportunity to make good on his debts. The alternative is he walks away and we all lose out.

It's just disappointing how Brad is handling things. If he had told me he was broke and needed 6 months to get the money together I would be far more comfortable than I am now having been promised money 6months ago and not hearing a word since.

For the record, I'm watching this thread and I'm happy for the discussions to continue provided it's handled maturely. That means;

No name calling / flaming

No bullshit / lies

No stories relating to mates / relo's - if *you* have an issue, speak up. If somebody else does - let them speak up.

The second we start getting personal or slanderous we start on a slippery slope that goes backwards in productivity.

Brad, while I'm aware that these kind of threads can cause panic within a business, handling issues like these out in the open with nothing to hide and with the folks that have supported you will go a long way to repairing any damage.

So after the cage getting painted the engine and gearbox was dropped off for installation in March. Work up until this point was faultless. I was quoted 4 weeks until completion.

April....... Wife cancer

May........Kid sick

June...... Kid not his

July.... Separated from wife

August.... Bikies after him

September... Bikies poured sulphuric acid on his hair and my legs were broken

I genuinely felt sorry for the cnut. I have succumbed to the fact that he is mentally not there. Through my observations and from my opinion (medically based) he is a compulsive liar (only the seperation part is true) which makes it very hard to deal with. Just check out his trader thread. That has only unravelled the tip of the iceberg...believe me! . I'm not here to discredit his business even though he has cost me tens of thousands through missing parts, engine failure due to poor workmanship.

So lets move on to the awesome part ;)

I had to goto the workshop to hijack my own car with a few mates unannounced. As I have a car to prep for wtac ;p

I see the point you're making, and it's valid, so now what? It changes nothing and honestly, you're not going to win yourself any fans that way. Why try and piss off moderators? Wouldn't you rather the thread stay open so you can use it as a useful platform.

Life us much easier when you don't fight the system. You're better of directing that frustration at Brad.

I have no need to be here anymore, I pushed on and got my stuff, but I genuinely want to see people get their goods/money and I'll do what I can to help that.

    • Next on the to-do list was an oil and filter change. Nothing exciting to add here except the oil filter is in a really stupid place (facing the engine mount/subframe/steering rack). GReddy do a relocation kit which puts it towards the gearbox, I would have preferred towards the front but there's obviously a lot more stuff there. Something I'll have to look at for the next service perhaps. First time using Valvoline oil, although I can't see it being any different to most other brands Nice... The oil filter location... At least the subframe wont rust any time soon I picked up a genuine fuel filter, this is part of the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank. Access can be found underneath the rear seat, you'll see this triangular cover Remove the 3x plastic 10mm nuts and lift the cover up, pushing the rubber grommet through The yellow fuel line clips push out in opposite directions, remove these completely. The two moulded fuel lines can now pull upwards to disconnect, along with the wire electrical plug. There's 8x 8mm bolts that secure the black retaining ring. The fuel pump assembly is now ready to lift out. Be mindful of the fuel hose on the side, the hose clamp on mine was catching the hose preventing it from lifting up The fuel pump/filter has an upper and lower section held on by 4 pressure clips. These did take a little bit of force, it sounded like the plastic tabs were going to break but they didn't (don't worry!) The lower section helps mount the fuel pump, there's a circular rubber gasket/grommet/seal thing on the bottom where the sock is. Undo the hose clip on the short fuel hose on the side to disconnect it from the 3 way distribution pipe to be able to lift the upper half away. Don't forget to unplug the fuel pump too! There's a few rubber O rings that will need transferring to the new filter housing, I show these in the video at the bottom of this write up. Reassembly is the reverse Here's a photo of the new filter installed, you'll be able to see where the tabs are more clearing against the yellow OEM plastic Once the assembly is re-installed, I turned the engine over a few times to help build up fuel pressure. I did panic when the car stopped turning over but I could hear the fuel pump making a noise. It eventually started and has been fine since. Found my 'lucky' coin underneath the rear seat too The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLJ65pmQt44&t=6s
    • It was picked up on the MOT/Inspection that the offside front wheel bearing had excessive play along with the ball joint. It made sense to do both sides so I sourced a pair of spare IS200 hubs to do the swap. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the strip down but here's a quick run down. On the back of the hub is a large circular dust cover, using a flat head screw driver and a mallet I prised it off. Underneath will reveal a 32mm hub nut (impact gun recommended). With the hub nut removed the ABS ring can be removed (I ended up using a magnetic pick up tool to help). Next up is to remove the stub axle, this was a little trickier due to limited tools. I tried a 3 leg puller but the gap between the hub and stub axle wasn't enough for the legs to get in and under. Next option was a lump hammer and someone pulling the stub axle at the same time. After a few heavy hits it released. The lower bearing race had seized itself onto the stub axle, which was fine because I was replacing them anyway. With the upper bearing race removed and the grease cleaned off they looked like this The left one looked pristine inside but gave us the most trouble. The right one had some surface rust but came apart in a single hit, figure that out?! I got a local garage to press the new wheel bearings in, reassemble was the opposite and didn't take long at all. Removing the hub itself was simple. Starting with removing the brake caliper, 2x 14mm bolts for the caliper slider and 2x 19mm? for the carrier > hub bolts. I used a cable tie to secure the caliper to the upper arm so it was out of the way, there's a 10mm bolt securing the ABS sensor on. With the brake disc removed from the hub next are the three castle nuts for the upper and lower ball joints and track rod end. Two of these had their own R clip and one split pin. A few hits with the hammer and they're released (I left the castle nuts on by a couple of turns), the track rod ends gave me the most grief and I may have nipped the boots (oops). Fitting is the reversal and is very quick and easy to do. The lower ball joints are held onto the hub by 2x 17mm bolts. The castle nut did increase in socket size to 22mm from memory (this may vary from supplier) The two front tyres weren't in great condition, so I had those replaced with some budget tyres for the time being. I'll be replacing the wheels and tyres in the future, this was to get me on the road without the worry of the police hassling me.
    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
