- AE92 Corolla Seca or any model corolla for that matter

- Nissan Pular

- Honda Civic

- Charade

Cheap on petrol, reliable, easy to maintain and cheap to fix if things go wrong. You can get the above for anywhere between 1.5 - 3.5k depending on condition.

I see you have a NA 34 imo i wouldnt waste the money on another daily they are more than capable of having all the above things i just mentioned. I drove my NA 34 as a daily to work and put 35,000km on the clock in a year and a half. If you service it and treat it properly it will last just like anything.

one of these :)

seriously, they are a great day to day car. it doesnt matter where you park it. no one looks at it twice.

theyre comfortable, very economical, they have enough power to get you out of trouble, even great for freeway driving. 5 speed manual is the way to go.

My poor 34 hates being taking to work man ,

I'm a spray painter and all the paint dust its killing the inside and seats.

so I really do want a run about and with the new carbon bonnet I have on it i don't really want it just sitting in the sun all day

yeah i kno i NA with carbon hood LOL@me . . when I'm off my p's its be geting a turbo and so on

But for now I want to keep it in good cond .

so whats the going price for a 97-99 lancer ? is the 5k about right ?

This is very tempting indeed! :)

Never hard to sell either, further down the track.

mate just keep searching carsales. it pretty strait forward. i personally have had 3 pulsars. they are super reliable, EASY to work on, cheap for parts, VERY CHEAP to insure, and plenty for sale to choose from. you really cant beat them. also, if you can get a good condition sss pulsar for 5k, i'd grab it if i was you!!

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
