Hey People,

Last week I destroyed my stock ER34 Ceramic Turbo and I'm in the process of buying some parts to get back on the road.

So far I have purchased:

- HKS GT-RS Turbo

- Apexi Power FC

- Z32 AFM

- Walbro Fuel Pump

Current Modifications Include:

- HKS Hi-Power Exhaust

- Tein Super Streets W/ EDFC

I am looking at getting a V-SPL front mound and Greddy Radiator and plan to run roughly 1bar boost.

All I have left to purchase is injectors but cant seem to find a good set around 500cc - 780cc which is what I believe I need for this setup. Can anyone recommend a good quality injector (good atomisation and wont cause rough idle) that will not bottleneck roughly 270rwkw?

I have read mixed reviews on the Nismo 480cc Injectors regarding the power that they can handle...

Any other thoughts or ideas on this setup would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Craig.

I dont think the new radiator is needed unless there's something wrong with your current one, but I'm not an expert.

Can't remember if you mentioned one or not but a boost controller of some description might be an idea as well.

If your not keen on cutting a hole in your car for the return pipe on the fmic you listed, maybe look at a blitz return flow one, but that's up to you.

Deatschwerks 600cc.

Agreed, the radiator isn't needed.

With the injectors, I take it you want something that is direct plug and play? Of the list that you put up, I believe only the Power Enterprise injectors will fit straight in. The Nismo 480's will as well, so depends on what your goals are for the car. I would recommend getting bigger injectors to accommodate any changes you want to make in the future.

What do you mean mixed reviews?

A 480cc injector, will support 480hp (360kw) on PULP - or there abouts for the sake of the conversation at hand (it's not 100% accurate, but near enough).

Also consider GTRs will make ~300rwkw on factory injectors. They use a 440cc injector.

Nismo 480cc will be more injector than you'll need for a GT-RS.

What i would be more concerned about is the Walbro fuel pump. This is the suspect part. Some seem to flow fine, others simply do not - that is the 'mixed review' part of your setup.

I also think you'll need more than 1bar for the power you are chasing.

Aren't the Nismo 480 one of the only bolt-in for a NEO?

From what I found when looking for my injectors, yes.

From memory my options were the Nismo 480's (wanted bigger), Siemens Deka's (tuner told me not to), Deatschwerks (couldn't find a lot of info), and the Power Enterprise which is what I ended up going with.

Get the ID1000s (Bosch) they work well at low duty cycles as well.

Forget the radiator

Does the HKS exhaust come with a front pipe? You will need a 3in front pipe.

Consider getting a Nistune board.

Well you said:

But they won't suit the stock setup.

What stock setup?

I'm confuse

Oh no no, that was your post getting in the way lol :P

I was referring to the ID1000's that Artz posted. They won't suit the stock setup. I took a bit long replying and didn't see your post so I didn't bother quoting haha.

They are topfeed. Do they not fit physically or electrically?

You can get the 14mm collar, so they fit physically. Need a spacer because they are full length while GTT injectors are 3/4 length. They use different plugs is the biggest issue, not a big deal if you know what you're doing or getting them installed. So it's not a huge lot of stuffing around to fit them.

Was just mentioning in case the OP is after drop in OEM replacements and doesn't want to modify anything.

You can just buy adaptor plugs, makes it easier as well for those worried about defects, as opposed to re-wiring the loom

Yeh? Wasn't aware... Do you know where from? I just ordered a set of ID1000's, would be good if I didn't have to rewire.

ill just chime in on the injector side..

cheapest and best injector is the Bosch ID1000's.. they come in either 14mm 3/4 length (standard GTT fuel rail) or 11mm 3/4or full length (GTR fuel rail). They have the best low pulse and spray pattern and cause no idle issues myself, n1GTR and piggaz on here are 3 cars that use these injectors with perfect idle (these are the only 3 that I have had first hand contact with) They also come with the assosiated plugs, pins, baskets which is a 20 min job to repin your existing injector loom (which is 2 clips and 1 plug to remove)

^^ one of the cheapest i have found besides one shop on ebay in the US

I ended up going with the XSPURTS 1000cc, they are a Bosch injector that is apparently modified, they were plug in units but they are full height which didn't matter to me as i ran a HKS rail anyway.... They weren't cheap though ($990 i think).... I originally had SARD 550's which were a drop in injector too, they just had a small rail spacer.

There are plenty of cheaper injectors out there, but i figured its one of those things i want to fit and forget so i spent the extra cash on them, they should suit any further upgrades too

    • So....to find any R chassis part number, get your VIN (will be something like ER33-xxxxxx for you) and go to: https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan and enter it. From there you have access to a web version of Nissan's part system, FAST. It is a bit tricky to get used to, so maybe have a shot and post up what you think.  You can also search by general model but note in some cases your car might have different options so VIN is safest.  On diagram 211 I got 14075-75T16 for Connector, Water Hose If I search for part 14053‑21U10 that you posted, that is also a water hose but not the one bolted to the plenum and 14075‑04U00 is the fitting where the water hose goes into the block.
    • Yeah now we are talking I much prefer coolers in the front middle because it lessens the chance of a small bump to a corner stopping the whole event. I was thinking the AT cooler can move out of the radiator, delete the AT/engine coolant interwarmer and mount a separate cooler with a thermoswitch somewhere further back as is common in racing, that would be one thing. Beyond that, the engine oil cooler is an obvious one to move to the wheel arch, potentially one on each side, but unused space is an issue. I did have a earlier pic with the bumper off but it doesn't show how busy the corners are: DS is full of the auto driving sensors and PS is totally fully of windscreen washer fluid reservoir But ultimately I was hoping to keep the AC, and the water/air heat exchanger is fundamental so it is not just the radiator that needs to be in front BTW here's airflow to the rad as it ran at the track (one horn is gone now and I'll remove the lights next time):
    • your right the maps for Australia came out in 2017 but are 2010 maps. i got the updated maps SD card put it in and it was the same. Same maps in my Brothers Nissan Patrol. 2020 i think his car is
    • Yeahhhh, the costs have killed me. Spent more than the cost of an engine rebuild and it most mostly servicing and a tune lol.
