does it have a Silver & Red sticker on it with AS1698 on it (or a Snell or equivalent sticker) and is it in good condition (no cracks)?

Quick question, I'm looking at coming to the next DECA coming up but I only have a Fox V3 helmet, would it be track legal?

Want to thank every one that took me for a spin during the afternoon battles. Special mention goes to Ash and his GTR, my first time experiencincg a GTR launch and wow... And also to NutR33, what a mental ride. Such a fitting number plate, both you and that car are definitely nuts.

Just wanted to say thanks to all that made the day possible.

Also a special thanks to Russ for the quicksteel and Luke for the assistance when I cracked my radiator.

A lil disapointed that I only got one run on the wang, but was great to be able to get out onto the skidpan in the arvo.

I'm aiming to get to all four DECA's for 2012... with a new radiator of course! haha

Marty... can you please message or post up any links if you come across any video of me on the skidpan?

What an awesome day it was, pity about the heat but it didn't seem to affect too many cars.

Thanks to all that help make theses days happen, most importantly those like Wayne, Julies, Anna and all the other volunteers who stood out in the sun all day for our enjoyment.

My highlight for the day was drifting the hairpin on the mini Wang and then 150+km toasting the rear tyres on the long wang, stupid but fun at the same time as I think Femno who was in the car will agree.

If anyone has footage of my car feel free to post it on YouTube, just tag it as NUTR33, there is a bit of a collection starting there.

Cheers Luke

Woohoooo I AM ALIVE!

An awesome DECA, I must admit I was ready to call it quits by lunchtime and was feeling preety average (No- I didnt drink the night before!!) so the shade tent on the pan although it was trying to blow away was such a great idea. Thanks to all for their hard work in completing another round successfully :) Without the volunteers and organisers things like this wouldnt happen. Was a great change sitting around drinking/eating pizza and talking crap most of the night at the motel Saturday night too, quite enjoyable and allowed us to get to know a few of those who we didnt already know.

I wont be around for round 2 (booo!) but look forward to round 3!

P.S I am starting a "NUTR33 DECA tyre fund" any donations/sponsorships welcome :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

Thanks to everyone - fun day even with the heat!

Props to those who stood out there in the sun. I've done it before, and it's pretty full on.

Rear diff is 100% farked now. Single spinning all over the place, made skidpan stuff a bit of mission impossible...

Will have that fixed before the next one :)

So seems work activated a nice new Internet connection...so I thought best to test it...

anyhow 14 gig in a morning makes me think it is now ok for the rest of work to use.

will do low res ones tomorrow as well basically I cannot be bothered today.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
