Swap N1 R34 Gtr For R35 + $$

Recommended Posts

Looking for expressions of interest from anyone looking to purchase my genuine 2001 R34 GTR V spec II N1.

Now, most of you who follow motorsport will know Jason / John White in their Lambo. This was the car they won Targa Tas outright in 2005.

I have owned this car for over 2 1/2 years and have brought it back to A1 condition with the help of Racepace Motorsport in Melbourne. All is in race ready condition with outstanding reliability.

If no one is interested in the car I will convert it back to road spec and keep it, but it seems a shame to cut out the Cr Mo cage and remove the fully fitted race interior.

Any questions or offers, please PM me, only too happy to talk and provide further info / history.

Hi Serge,

I've PM'd you on another matter, but since Shannons and Lumleys SV (but not Just Car yet) are willing to insure both the R34 GT-R VS N1 and the VS2 N1 for well over $100K now, I'm interested which direction the cash adjustment is going to go...

Of course, I don't expect an answer to such a rhetoric Q., since it will probably depend on too many variables.

Cheers, T

^ ^ ^ It's what the insurer is compelled to pay if the car is stolen or written off.

It's a marker, when many cars above the value of $100K can vary so much in asking price.

I do appreciate what Serge is trying to do in order to gain performance satisfaction.

And therefore I wish Serge the best in that regard.

Okay, i'll come clean.

I was at sports auto group / all imports a few days ago and it was mentioned in conversation that they have a Ztune coming in.

Not sure how accurate this information is, but I just had to tell someone and Terry's the first person that came to mind.

If its true, I dont know how they got their hands on it.

Can i volunteer my services and take it for a test drive to ensure it is truly a Z-Tune. :D

does that mean there's going to be three in the country?

no one got sold/moved to Greece. thats was the one with the stereo in the boot. cant remember if it was the plates were "ZTUNED" or "Z TUNE". anywho one was in SYD and one in MEL i believe. not sure which one is left

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
