John, is it going to be back to back 10 min sessions all day. Its just that if i drive up from Melbourne i want to be sure to get plenty of track time...are you planning any 1/8 mile or go to Whoa?

Whats an estimate number of 10min sessions a driver will get? I wont talk it up as i wont be able to keep up with the Zed or any of the GTRs :D ...

What's happening on sunday? And what's this got to do with me?

You're the one that said that there's "no such thing as Z power" and that you have "never copped a whooping befor[e]"

So you've never driven at Wakefield before... How much circuit racing experience do you have? :D

Pffft have you seen the Zed lately? 2 fuel pumps hanging under near the diff, carbon fibre bits n pieces all over the place, talk about a heavy tank.... :headspin: John is probably at home right now getting high on V's

Now Merli dont scare them off too hard. Sounds like beer talk though. It is only a zed after all. Blitz Why don't you show get your GTR out and waste the zed????

Sorry to hear Duncan won't be out there, can't wait though will be big. By the way 107.7 last at Wakefield.

We are currently doing lots of mods to it, things that will drop times. Motor not in the car yet but will be next week. By the way I need another mechanic, good one if anyone knows of any, email or call direct.

Roy you will get in plenty of ten minute sessions as it will be almost non stop all day, with a drift session in the middle for half an hour.

There is a case of Beer or V for any GTR or GTS-T that can beat the zed on the day, as well as a trophy. And a full admission on SAU and the ZEd forum that I got wooped by a Skyline. Even a handicap for tyres. Road tyres 2 secs semi slicks 1 sec. I will be running very second hand slicks.

I will be having a V early in the day ( my third in my life ) SHWING, so I don't want to here any excuses about this. I estimate half a second improve in every bottle. But double the dose NOT double the benefit unless it is drift contest. Yes Blitz it works on old guys too.

Now Merli dont scare them off too hard.

Wreckedhead has my full support :D As if I'd back any silly Zed over a GTR, no matter how many cheating additions you have on your boat :D

Let's hope John can get that motor in the zed, get it all wired up etc in time for this day. I haven't seen it for a 2 weeks but last time I did - it was on bits - major bits.

I've never done wakefield, are there any straights ??? I might come down and let the fat zed overtake (or lap) me just before the straight, then go past it on the straight for the photographers :D :D

does anyways have any pics of this ZED, casue just curious how it goes and what power it makes, not that im worried or anything but i used to have a zed and i spent about 10 grand on the motor and it was still a nugget, any videos or anything like that.

hey wreckhead, check the last HPI for its specs from about 12 months ago.

IMHO 107.7 is fairly quick. I reckon you will be around 1.14s, or if you haven't been on a circuit before I'm guessing you'll end up deeeep in kitty litter at turn 2....but you can always prove me wrong

B-man, its only got a little straight....you need to take it on at Eastern Creek

It goes better than your 10 grand nugget i'll bet

it probably does go beter that my nugget, but that nugget is long gone, and king of the road had taken over, ive never actually raced my car on a curcuit befor, and i dont think its set up for racing casue of to much turbo lag, but its ok its all good and fun.

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
