Its not a vented catch can. Considering she is track only it will be checked throughout the day, and also before and after each track day. Have got the windows installed. Shall put some pics up when i get home. Makes it look like almost a complete car. Just need some new spark plugs and some new fuel. Plus the plexi glass quarters and sunroof. Shes got a little bit of smoke on start up and while running. Smells a little oily. I think maybe the 33 turbo seals might be rat poo. Hope not i at least want to get one track day out of her before spending any more money on engine lol.

And yes pete you are a sexy mountain of a man ;)

So at the moment that little brass bit is still open. Not sure where that could have gone before as the can is second hand. better to maybe merge the 2 rockers together before catch can and then vent to atmo??

yah pretty close lol. If i could put up with excessive wind noise i could take it out lol, and as long as its not raining. Plexi glass will be ordered next week as i now have a template for the quarters. Thinking of getting them done professionally then if any other SAU members want to grab a set the template will already be there.

So just entered the SAU day for Sydney motorsport park so i now have a true deadline of october 29th to get her ready. So went on a mission at lunch dropped the templates off to Smithfield plastics to get the lexen quarter windows and sunroof. For only $155 needed to cover all 3 its a pretty damn good price fully laser cut to within the mm. So just need to modify the front bar to fit round the cooler and get a filter to vent the catch can and shes ready to go! Bring on the 29th of october lol!

So picked up the lexan today. Looks great ready for install soon. Then she will be ready for her first wash in god knows how long lol. Heres some picks, the stock glass window is on the left as a template :)

Comparing thickness

The weight difference is crazy as u can imagine. Can just think of how much is saved in the sunroof alone without all the motor and everything else :)

So motivated me alot more now that ive entered her in the track day. Brought a quick release steering wheel kit. LOVE IT! Authentic race car now lol. Also ordered some aero mirrors from GKTECK for only $99 bucks new cant beat em should arrive tomorrow or Monday. Then need to organise an extinguisher, trim the front bar and give a good check over. Here's some more pretty pics :)

So got the front bar done today during lunch, really dodgy trim job but ill eventually neaten it when i go to paint it. Makes the car look alot more complete. also fitted aero mirrors you can see. Cheap $100 so good.

Hey mate, read the build from the start, great write up.

With it getting increasingly difficult to keep a fun track car road registered, ive decided to do the same thing. Couldnt decide between a 32 and a s13/180 and probably still wont untill i've got the cash in my hand but your build has definately motivated me to make up my mind and get into it...

Keep the updates comin

Thanks mate, yah i loved having my 33 as a Daily/track car but after getting some water leak issues after the last eastern creek day i had im glad i started to build this one. If I hadn't found this $400 shell the 33 would still probably be a daily/Track and with the 4G ive roughly put into this one i could have had a very quick GtsT. But With the 32 I can take her on the track and flog the crap out of her and not worry if i hit a wall or break something because it wont need fixing straight away :)

The RB20 with the straight through exhaust even with the cannon atm sound salmost as sweet as my 33 does with its new hi flow. Just something about the 2L straight 6 that makes them sound so unique.

So got the Lexan in today. The car looks complete :) Just need the little L brackets made up with some small angle bar for the sunroof and she will be complete. Although on a beautiful sunny day like today a sunroof wont be required :P Heres a pic of the windows in place. Now just time almost for her first wash and ready to hit up eastern creek :) Along with putting on some fancy "TOW" and battery stickers Cause racecar :P

So got the sunroof in today. Note to self next time when getting sunroof made from plexi get 6mm not 3mm. Its to flexible and sags :( But doesnt need to be to waterproof as its parked inside unless being used lol. Just need to seel it up a bit better with rubber or silicon. Hoping i wont need it for track day ill just take it out. Heres a pick. Also got extinguisher put in :) And put some stickers on for the battery triangle and tow points.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
