When is the HK Cd launch nite?

I was thinking that would be a good first night to attend

**goes and checks his closet for 'raver' style clothes**

Yep, i think i've got something, albeit average lol

SPEWPN... you been hitting motel lately have ya?

Hmm..

Didnt you read man... My mates do.. not me.. Im over clubs...

Ive been thinking of going to Hard Kandy coz I want to hit the Hard NRG scene, seeing as I missed out on going to Launch which was on the Easter Weekend.. but I hear so much ghey stuff about HK.. like its full of weird ****s, too much trippers....

Tues - Room

Wed - Edgy (Mentone)

Thurs - Mint

Fri - dunno, play golf and gotta be up at like 5:30, if anywhere, Sandy Hotel

Sat - Mint

Sun - Work till 11:30pm - what time does Motel close?

Thursdays use to be the best, Silvers open bar 9 - 12 cluding basic spirits, knock back about 15 burbs, never quite got a full 3 hrs, usually 2hrs, half hours wasted either side, cos u take the last sandy train back to the Sandy where they use to have $6 jugs :) Was THE best nite, cos then Sandy had karaoke :( But alas no more, Silvers is gone and is now Toorak Lion or some shit, better have 3 hours open bar or i'm not going :(

No-one goes to Mint?

Well if any of you feel like taking a new melbourne citizen (ex Perth) under your wing for a night out, hey let me know!!!! coz i have no idea where to go out here.. more into the prog/breaks or tek thing, but don't mind a beer or ten either.

Will be at Room 680 next weekend for dave seaman, and colonial this weekend for Nubreed of anyone wants to meet up :D

Adam

I hate the club scene these days, security and the people who run the night get off thinking they are mad c()nts because they can get you in etc.. Its soo much BS and it really pisses me off that I have to line up for ages and get knocked back for runners (when clearly everyone else has runners) but the ****ed up manangement wont let a group of guys go in.... 2 years ago there was none of this shit and you could always go out and have a good time.. now you have to know people (which I do) but the BS behind it all pisses me off.. Like they are better than me for having control of letting me in their club.. U c what Im trying to say..

soo true... was on free for POW sat night and even then it was a hassle... hate to go and not actually know someone who runs the night........ thats why we tend to go to places were we have members access etc. Used to go to Seven heaps and had a member keyring, after i lost it the owner said just to call him if any problems getting in... and every bloody time i would end up calling him at 3 in the morning cos the stupid door bitch kicked up a fuss every weekend.. stopped going cos i felt like an ass waking him up every thurs / sat.

No-one goes to Mint?

going there for the first time this saturday nite, havent been there since the old Transformer days...

maybe catch up with you Danny..

omfg someone else who goes to Lotus bar on sunday nights haha...

Mine are..

Thursday - Bar night at uni... mmm drunken international students

Friday - usually any pub/bar along Brunswick St... love that place, nothing beats a night out on Brunswick st, and then goin for kebabs with your mates at that kebab joint... mmm kebab.

Sat - Evolution usually

Sun - Lotus Bar or Loft, usually I alternate.

But I don't go clubbing much as the whole things just become very trivial now. Too many try hard G-Funks and not enough fun. I prefer kicking back with my mates in a pub/bar these days. Or even drinkin up at the local park or at a mates house.

I remember back in the day when my routine was...

Mon - Whiskey Bar

Tue - Heat

Wed - Silvers

Thu - Sirens

Fri - Next Blue

Sat - Carousel

Sunday - Home where I sleep all day.

Those were the days.

    • @dbm7 and @GTSBoy thank you both very much! will give that a shot!
    • Sounds good. Provided the panel is flat/level I'd be happy to start the painting process.  While you are learning, for sure you could do this. Its only paint, you can always sand it all back and start again. Its only your time and money on materials, but while you're learning, really its time and money spent on your education.  Once you know how to do this bodywork and painting, you won't want to waste your time and money on frivolous activities lol.
    • Yep I will use a guide coat after putting filler, I will do it on the whole panel as I'm a beginner so chances I've made quite a few errors. In that photo, I think that was a low spot, I just for example said to pretend it's flat but I will put filler + guide coat after to assess where I'm at. Yep with that picture, the panel is wet as it rained when I took the photo. But all those scratches are completely smooth, I went over it with 240 grit and can't feel it, even with my nail digging into it. I was legit thinking to buy a 2k can and spray primer to see how it turns out but then thought to myself it's going to be a mess doing it haha. Good mention there. Thanks for all that info I think I know what to do next.
    • Prior to laying down the primer, you need to make sure the surface is completely level. For example, based on this picture, I strongly suspect that the areas marked in blue are higher then the area marked in green.  If you spray primer over this entire area, then paint and clear it, the finished result will 100% show the low area. It will stick out like dogs balls. Unfortunately the paint won't magically level out the low areas as you lay it down.  Without seeing it in person, I expect that the green area will need to be filled, then use a guide coat and check that the entire repair area is level with a large sanding block.  With this picture, are you saying that even though you can see the scratches, the panel is in fact completely smooth and flat? If this is the case sure you could prep and paint it as it is.     The picture with the paint you described as blistering, it's hard for me to comment on from the photo alone. It looks like the panel is wet? Dunno, looks strange. Does the panel feel as smooth as glass when you run your hand over it? **** Going back to your question again, generally you would only sand the primer if you made a mistake while laying down the primer.  If the panel is prepped properly and you lay the primer down properly, you should not need to sand the primer.  This wouldn't work - Don't prep the panel. Spray primer and see how it turns out. Sand the areas where the issues appear. Spray more primer and see how it turns out. Sand the areas....... Yeah you'd go round and round in circles getting no where.
