Sorry sinistaGTR didnt know there were rules that had to be followed when modding Skylines. Since you have such a mastery of Japanese culture, then you'd know all about how they deliberately mod their cars to stand out from the crowd and look unique. Bosozuku anyone?

Can't say I've seen any vinyl wrapped, LED sporting Skylines lately.

Streetglow leds the original Quality brand

Mate dont listen to everyone let them be sheep and haters

Ive been worldwide including japan a few times

And you see them in every country

Do what you think is cool and makes you happy

I have massive amounts of LED's but used tasteful ( sorta lol) and you will get defected for driving with them on in 2 seconds( blue and red are limited to police and emergency only) mine are for photos and car shows only

Just secure properly and away from fuel / brake lines and keep them well up so they're not stand out even when off !!

Thanks Carbon 34 and bozodos for something actually useful. I agree - Negativity should not be allowed on the forums. Is ridiculous to let someone do their own thing when all these people say it's shit. Not to mention it's pointless anyway. If I've made up my mind about something I'm gonna do it. Whether I have LEDs or not doesn't affect anyone on here and even if it ever did it's called a switch. It's like all those useless f***s that go onto youtube, search up some dubstep video and then say how shit dubstep is. What's the point of even coming into this thread?

Ugly, gay, piss, pussy, lame etc...

Obvious troll.

Sorry mate, last time I read what I posted I was asking about undercar LEDs, not what you see in the mirror of a morning. Thanks for your contribution though. Dick

Fell for it.

have the got led spinners yet? that would be cool and original.

sorry for temporary thread hijack...but...

lets be honest, how many of us would just roll around with hardcore pr0n playing in all 4 wheels

How have I missed this thread gadumit, anyway go the less they look fine when used tastefully (don't try and be a rolling rainbow). I forget who it was now I think it was boz... Not sure, anyway was paying out vinyl.

I recently had my car fully wrapped in vinyl the results are awesome looks just like paint costs 1/5 the price, and id put leds on it if I could be bothered but id never use them so its kinda redundant.

You should totally do it then, prove us wrong.

Pics!

this thread made me laugh so hard i almost fell out of my chair.I have been parked with a few mates out of a night and seen a como go past with leds under the car,The only way it could have been worse is if the guy had spinners for rims also haha

The only led lights that should be near your car are the ones that come in your lead lamp to work on your car at night.

I do have led tail lights tho but mine are the japan version not some rip off shit ones you buy here.

lol been to japan twice brah.....Im more than happy with my real knowledge of japanese culture vs japanese pop culture (and aussie trends of that).....

Also you talk of doing something different....what 5 terrible years of car culture and trends that followed the release of fast and the furious wasnt enough undercar leds for you lol....point is that its been done a gazillion times and it was horrible when it was happening...let alone again

oh god how did I miss this thread, and this post.... love how original this guy was with his thread on what wheels to get, and choosing between two styles that apparently haven't been done "a gazillion times" *cough* ssr sp1 & work meister *cough*

props to OP for changing it up after at least 5 years of unoriginality and sheep for enthusiasts haha

Where was this support when I slapped underglow on my car. I just got raped by everyone.

And you will continue to be raped

Nobody says anything to me , cause I'm much bigger and ex seal team lol

Funny cause a lot of drift cars are going to undercar and other lighting again !! Hypocrites

Do what you want and f**k being a sheep to slaughter

    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
