Haha nah man I went to trademark hotel in kings cross on saturday night, then stayed over at my mates place in oatlands afterwards....sooo to get to nirimba was like half an hour drive. I arranged with Pat to pick up his spare helmet at the texi (but he ended up forgetting it lol).

I had a quick glance around the carpark and didn't notice the magenta r32 as per your display pic unfortunately.

Don't own a magenta r32. FYI colour is pink, and no I don't own one anymore..

I wanted to say Ginormous thanks to all the organisers and helpers that make these days go so great! I know I run around a fair bit on the day so if I didn't get a chance to thank you personally please know that these things rock & roll due to all the behind the scenes work.

Also thanks to the entrants - hope you had fun. Based on the ear to ear grins, smoke screen antics and a few exploding tyres, I think good times were had by all!

It's a real shame about the few folks with mechanical dramas. Honestly though, Texi is a great place to shake down your car before you drive all the way out to Wakie or a track where the punishment is a lot harder and a much longer ride back on a towie if something is going to break.

I didn't see Luke or Matt's runs, but the other few cars that I know had dramas were run pretty hard. There were smoke shows where I literally couldn't see 5 meters in front of me out at the marshalling area. Hope the repairs go well, but well we must love our cars cause we all keep coming back to do it again

Matts was probably one of the ones you couldnt see after, was his first run and it sounded f**kING TITS!!!!

Ouch, look up HR31-gts20x (jordon) he has my old crank which only got a tiny nick on it, but being a seizure I think it going to need more :(

ok, not so seized.

was turning by starter motor this morning.

thinking brand new crank.

and I have another block I can get machined.

wish I got it on video.

and yeah, I was thrashing it :D

    • Sane enough. Remove the roof liner, because the acid will go everywhere.
    • Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help and experienced opinions.  I have spent a lot of my life working on boats so I'm pretty good with fibreglass. I'll take everybody's advice in here;  I'll cut a little more of the 2nd layer away as it's a bit crunchy rust and also it's sitting high now. Then I'll wire brush it all a bit to get off anything loose, then I'll soak the bejesus out of it all in rust converter. I'll make sure to get a little hose piece and feed it into all the holes and gaps between the roof layers. Then I'll fibreglass up the holes.  Then I'll get a pallet of filler and mix it with 3 buckets of hardener and hope that is enough to build up the roof corner.  Does that sound sane? Is one type of filler better than others for this?
    • My goals for it atm are to get it registered, respray and some mild power gains eventually... I picked up the car from an elderly gentleman near the border of NSW and VIC, its honestly a bit rough and looks like its been driven on a farm (because there was so much dirt underneath). Last week I dropped the subframe and emptied the old fuel out + added a new fuel pump (think the old one went bad from old fuel). Now I'm onto fixing a coolant leak at the rear of the engine + adding a new radiator as the old one is corroded. After that i have a new bumper, coils (as the old were leaking) and lots more
    • Welcome buddy! Plenty on here and YouTube. What are your plans for it? Good luck with the Rwc and Rego bud!
    • Love this so much! Please post a photo when you have a bike on the trailer.  I was a little bit worried about having a tow bar on the Skyline, but having it hidden behind the number plate is genius
