As suggested above, you should try to find all your own parts and save some money as much as you can. Use eBay to find all those cheap copy fuel pumps, plenums and exhaust manifolds.

That way they can charge you the time the job takes, plus the time to tidy up or repair the cheap part, charge you to replace the part when it fails and charge you all the labour again to fix it.

You'll save heaps.

This !!

Do it once, do it right !

It will cost you but it will be done properly.

yeh no that's not goin to happen build it proply the 1st time.

Excellent to hear.

If you find cheaper prices for parts they are offering, maybe ask them if they'll match it.

I don't doubt the parts list will be appropriate for the power you want to make but there are a lot of things involved in a build like that. Do you really need that plenum?

Do they do all their own engines or are the built somewhere else? What kind of warranty do they offer on their work (inc the engine) if any at all.

What kind of gaurantee do they give that you'll make the quoted power. It's a lot of money to spend only to fall short of your goal

They recently did a nitto rb32 build for a customer with an r34 gtr and oh my God so so much power..best part was customer had unlimited budget so they were able to do things properly.. Car drives like stock but when you floor it, destroys the road under it haha.

I thought you had a HTA3586?, anyways cams are to big for a start... looks like

a lot of money for f**kall gain..you seem to like to spend money for no apparent reason(and no i am not having a go at you

just having cars and mates with similair setups..thats total and utter overkill for the turbos you want, K.I.S.S, is what you want to do

quality parts that will do the job asked with overdoing/overkill them...you will spend twice as much for no reason or reliability..

You REALLY need to decide what you want before you start...

cheers

Just a quick one....I was reading through the list again and noticed you are only using 1000cc injectors and a pump that flows 400 L/min @ 60psi.

That pump will just scrape in at 650hp at the wheels on E85 so you should be ok for flow there but the injectors are really only good for 550hp on E85 so maybe you should ask them about 1600cc or 2000cc injectors instead?.

You can just bump the rail pressure up to make the injectors flow more but the pump will then flow less and it brings it closer to your 450kw margin. Just some food for thought anyway

to be honest I also thought they where on the smaller side if and when I Desideed to go E85 so yes bigger injectors I will get Edited by MRHD66

Honestly....I would develop a fantastic relationship with a workshop and get them to build the thing. Price sounds about right but its the things you can't put a dollar value to that are important. You take $1000 off the price somehow and eventually you will be paying $5000 back to them or someone else.

If and when? You're going to make 600hp at the wheels on 98? I applaud your courage

Can be done. Much safer on E85. The cubes should help but still.....

lol, so glad I'm not in the automotive industry anymore. People think you're ripping them off if you charge them for the time you spend sourcing parts. Then they say you did a shit job when the parts they supply that you've never used turn to shit, assuming they even give you everything you need. They also expect you to take up the warranty with the companies they bought the parts from

    • I was 99% sure the standard one is long enough to get there, you might just have to change the throttle orientation. If not, I remember someone having used an r31 cable instead, but that is probably harder to find than r33 by now...
    • HELP   Hey all, Is there an accelerator cable from another Nissan that can be used on the R33 GTST RB25DET with a Greddy forward facing plenum?  Thanks in advance  Rob
    • Or do we think it was installed to give 1 bar of boost max, all day, everyday?
    • So could it be assumed it has been installed intentionally with potentially a power FC boost controller kit?
    • Had my rig on Matt's dyno at PITS the other day. After a few years between tunes I added a few sensors and swapped intercoolers. Result. 553hp at 26psi. Not bad for an FJ20 that was built in 2007. The problem.. It filled the overflow bottle on hard runs which leads me to believe the head gasket isn't sealing. I have a coolant pressure sensor which was reading cap pressure at 22psi and occasionally overrunning to 23/24 psi on deceleration after a pull. It was not spiking. It has arp2000 head studs and a cometic gasket. As its been 18 years in service, I pulled the engine out and head off. Everything looks good but we obviously have an issue. Where I'm at.. Years ago I had the same issue, I checked the stud tension and they were all over the place. Some at 60 to 70 and some up near 90. I nipped them all to 100ft lbs and this stopped the water push until now. I believe this compromised the gasket back then. What do I do? 2 options are..  1) I bought arp 625+s, which I could put in with a new gasket. Thinking Kameari this time, reassemble and try again. 2) strip the block, get fire rings machined in with copper gasket and try that. I do not want to push it more than 28 to 30psi. I think the turbo will be out by then anyway. (G30-770). My other concern is the long term ability of a copper head gasket. Are they streetable for years? I feel like a new gasket with the new studs will probably suffice, but I don't know. Any thoughts welcome and advice on copper gaskets and fire rings. Thanks!
