while we're on the subject of 2014 is anyone thinking ricci is going to have any chance against vettel? I mean his pace isn't that great and consistency at times is wanting...I'm concerned he'll be another webber...lots of hope but not so much luck, and we all know to win a WDC you need a little bit of wanker in you and that winner takes all attitude at times.

^ cool

not all that likely

his entire overtaking technique revolved around steaming past the braking point, missing the apex by miles, thereby forcing the defender to take evasive action to prevent their sidepod being center punched by his nose cone

rubbish

A team of teenagers from Australia have won the 2013 F1 in Schools world title

For the second consecutive year, a team of Australian school students has taken out the F1 in Schools World Championship title.

The Formula 1 sanctioned competition sees students from around the world design, manufacture, test and race compressed air powered balsa wood cars.

Aimed to stimulate interest in engineering and produce future Formula 1 team personnel, the task also sees the students raise their own budgets to compete.

This year’s world finals were held in Austin in the lead-up to the weekend’s United States Grand Prix.

Made up of six students from Pine Rivers State High School, Queensland and Phoenix P-12 Community College, Ballarat, Victoria, the Australians defeated 36 rival teams from 21 other countries to claim overall honours.

The Australian car was the fastest down the 20 metre course while also impressing in the remaining judging criteria, which included a verbal presentation.

In addition to taking the Bernie Ecclestone World Champions trophy, the winning students also receive Motorsport and Automotive Engineering Scholarships for City University in London.

Massa is confirmed at Williams alongside Bottas so that is Pastor out on his a55. Be itneresting to see where he lands. But looks like Di Resta is GONE! So much for the hopes of the Poms to get Bird into F1 if they cant keep Di Resta there with no money

Germany’s seven-time World Champion Schumacher was courted by the Lotus F1 team to come out of retirement for a second at time at the age of 44.

Schumacher’s manager Sabine Kehm confirmed the sensational move to procure the most successful grand prix driver of all-time to the Enstone team following Raikkonen’s decision to undergo back surgery.

“There have been quite a few requests in the past. Michael would still be fit enough but he has a new life,” Kehm told German newspaper Bild.

“I don’t find it unusual that people ask Michael.”

Maldonado the retard saying someone in Williams tampered with his car which caused his poor performance in qualifying. It would be idiotic for a team in Williams position to do that. Hope he doesnt get a drive next year. What a useless f**k he is

Good performance by Grosjean. Still dont understand why people want him out of F1. I think he has proven himself this year enough to forget the drama of last year

Another weekend out at work were ill have to wait till wednesday to watch the race anyway. Damn work lol

    • Hi everyone, I've been wrestling with this for a while now and have been trying to find out the cause. For context, the turbos used are Garrett 2860 -5s, the BOV is a BNR32 HKS SSQV IV kit, the car is currently tuned to ~470 whp on 17.5 psi. The car drives normally, pulls well when it doesn't happen, and I can replicate it fairly easily. It does not sound like turbo shuffle or flutter. The engine has only a thousand or so miles and has had this behavior since it was completed. After my engine was built for my R32 GTR, I noticed that the car now sometimes makes an air discharge sound on what appears to be positive boost pressure that sounds really similar to a BOV. I had thought that it was a BOV issue but even when replacing it with a brand new unit, the sound persisted. It seems like it's coming from the passenger side but I may be mistaken. The closest scenario I could find was this post here https://www.gtr.co.uk/threads/maybe-a-boost-leak-opinions.147955/https://www.gtr.co.uk/threads/maybe-a-boost-leak-opinions.147955/ started by @yakshii and it sounds very similar. As in, at partial throttle once I reach positive boost I begin to hear the same psh psh psh psh psh sound like air is leaking somewhere when I keep the throttle in the same position. It most commonly happens in 4th gear at around 3-3.5k RPM and 5th gear around 2.5-3k RPM, which seems to coincide with normal positive boost thresholds. It might be similar to what @Austrian GTR mentioned about his own HKS SSQV. Notable difference would be that when he applies more throttle when it happens, it stops. In my scenario if I apply more throttle during this repeated psh psh psh sound, the cadence of the sound gets faster and louder rather than stopping. If I lift off slightly and apply throttle again, it will normally stop and pull without issue. I've checked all rubber couplers to ensure that they are tight, but have not gotten the opportunity to properly do a pressurized boost leak test. If anyone has had similar experiences or thoughts on what might be the cause, I'd be very keen to hear them. I also have a video of it happening from inside the cabin, if that would make it easier to understand: https://youtu.be/2zqZXcx8jbA
    • I'd want at least $40K for mine, but thats easy to say cos I'm not selling anyway.
