There is a law against just staying in the right hand land.

Common courtesy would be to move over to the left hand lane, cept OP decided to stay in the right hand land and antagonise the driver behind him

There wouldnt be a situtation if OP just moved over to the left hand lane as you are supposed to and required by law

yeah, keep left unless overtaking (i am a huge stickler for this rule too) which he was doing. way i see it he was overtaking at the speed limit (assuming the truck was doing 100km) guy came up speeding from behind, didnt like the fact he was taking too long, got impatient and then proceeded to road rage by tailgating and then jamming on the brakes when he got in front.

speeding is against the law, same with tailgating. and i know which of these three rules is the least dangerous to the other motorists.

I wasn't going to have it so I slowed down to 100kms to match the truck's speed, and he really hated it.

slowing down to 60kms in the right hand lane of the Hume is the best idea this guy had.

See the parallels?

You're your own worst enemy. Drivers are self righteous tools - how often do you see someone admitting wrongdoing or apologizing for their behaviour on the road? You weren't going to teach this guy a lesson he would learn and you know it, you just wanted to get revenge for him for sitting up your ass. Whatever you did, he was always going to continue on his way driving like a dick. Possibly even worse after being aggravated by another driver. So move over and have no part in his douchebaggery, then you get to live life without him bothering you for another second. You were both breaking the law in your own ways.

On roads that don't have overtaking lanes, I've had drivers sit up my ass before...I sit on the speed limit and they can do whatever they want. I don't slow down, I don't speed up. If they want to sit close enough that they don't have time to brake fast enough, that's their problem...which is why the law, 99% of the time, puts the car behind at fault in an accident. I'm not in control of his car, I'd rather focus on what's in front.

Lets face it though, who hasn't had people fly up behind them on the highway and tail gate them until they move? Doesn't mean you need to inflame the situation and I think that's what Artz was pointing out.

Scares me how many people actually backed OP and said they'd do the same thing.

Someone tailgates me on the highway I might get annoyed but certainly don't deliberately slow down to box cars in.

I get what your saying. But just speed up a little and move over to the left when you can, not slow down level with the truck to not let him pass

this guy, he gets it

They both acted like knobs but OP fails for coming here to brag/bitch about it and in doing so potentially flaming out a fellow member/enthusiast...

Its just bad form..

    • Perfect, I'll get to it this winter then at the same time as I weld on my anti squat kit.
    • Alright so my 32 only has one temperature no matter what degree you set it to. I’ve tried disconnecting the servo motor arm and moving it either direction and got no change. I’ve fixed the leak in my AC and re charged it and with it on and clutch engaged it still blows hot even though the low pressure pipe going to the firewall is ice cold. Both heater core hoses are hot while running as well. Diagnostic code showed 24 for intake air temperature sensor. Anybody got any ideas?
    • I said Garrett style. Not Garrett genuine. And something in the G30 550 range is what you want. Not those pokey little old fashioned T28 sized things. The intake ports in the head are small. There is little benefit in fattening up the runners and leaving ths actual ports small. Just run what you've got. And on the subject of Nistune vs Haltech etc..... You know you can control the transmission with decent standalone ECUs these days, right? No need to keep any of that old Nissan bullshit. Don't get me wrong - I use Nistune on my Neo. But it is a DET, so the number of bodges and workarounds I had to do to make it work in a chassis without ABS, TCS, etc, is quite small compared to the herniated arsehole you will have trying to make it work on a motor that doesn't have some of the things that the turbo ECU wants to see. Just easier to bite the bullet and go aftermarket outright.
    • Hmm. Only when the f**king thing is actually working. Still can't find the leak. And that's with dye being put in the last 3 times!
