hey, Question - how can you tell when you require a new thermostat?

Going to do a service in a couple of weeks time, RB25det is a fair bit sluggish prior to warmup these days.

In the old days I used to take it out and put it in a kettle with a thermometer and watch the temp on the thermometer and see when it opened or activated the circuit.

Not perfect but it always let me know if it was working properly...

Also it is a thermostat... $35 to $40 just change it lol

they're not expensive so if its old just replace it.

Oh ok, Thx guys. Car doesn't overheat, radiator is pretty fresh. Due for my home service, and probably needs the timing checked. Can't afford dyno time, still just sluggish on cold start....

I know that Fours'n'More can source, fit and tune the Z32 ECU and Nistune. Brenton is a pretty good tuner as well

had my powerrun done today at willall -160kw @4psi and 180kw @ 8psi

i enquired about the ecu while i was there. they said that because it's an "older" skyline that they'd charge more to get the work done but they'll tune it once ive finished modding. meh.

ill give boostworx a call on monday.
