245/35/18 (Front Only) Ideal For Track Use

Will it be too wide if I use 245/35/18 on the fronts for track use? The rims are 18x9 + 33 and using 5mm spacers just to clear the brake calipers. My ride is a 98' GTT, with full adjustable coilovers and cusco adjustable front upper camber arms ?

(265/35/18) in the rears already .

245s fit on 9" rims just fine, in fact, slightly on the small side. Why are you asking this question?

I run 265's on a 9" (34 GTR wheel +30) on the front of a 32 GTS-t with no issues. Just a guard roll.

Just thought if it would be best for cuttin down those lap times if more wider tyres would make a difference, now I think it would .

Probably better to keep 235/40/18 and run 10mm spacers. Or get wheels with a lower offset.

has anyone ran 255s on their GTS-t?

I've currently got 17x9 +30 with 245/40/17 at the front.. was thinking I should go 255 and then it gives me the option of rotating tyres all round when needed.. as all my wheels are 17x9 + 30

If you look at what you have and think that you can swing another 10mm of width without hitting anything, then why wouldn't you do it? Hell, people run 265 on Toranas!! No power steer, no decent steering geometry. Man up and do it.

Yer it will work, i could run 255 on a 8.5+30 on front but steering will be a little heavier than 235 for say
