My cars in for tune in the next week or so, and I've now noticed my cluster has decided to shit itself :(

Will this mean the car cannot be tuned as he will have no comparison of revs , speed ect, or can he tell via his computer ?

Any help would be appreciated, just don't really want to spend more than I already have this month as i drive the car once a month if that? And if it can be done at a later date would suit me better

Cheers guys

Speed signal at the ECU definitely comes via the cluster, so if the cluster is dead, no speed signal at the ECU. Depending on the ECU, this may or may not be a problem. If Nistuned standard ECU, then attempting to tune without a speed signal could be problematic. A lot of the Nissan ECUs go into various panic modes if the load gets high with no speed signal.

I know for a fact my old RB20DET ECU when I snipped the pin for the speed input on the ECU nothing happened & I could go over 180km/h
