It will either work or not, you will need to plug it in and see.

You may lose some functions, like the leaf display. There are many versions to suit the same car, let alone different models, but they are essentially the same.

never saw the logic in that

if im going 180+ you shouldnt be looking at the speedo, and the 180km dash is way easier to read day to day.

I actually did the opposite in the s14 putting the jdm cluster in for the 180km instead of only ever using 1/3 of the gauge

Canadian drops the SAE dials and are straight metric. Buy a nismo item , cheaper and you are not playing guess on which unit you have as there are SEVERAL variants.

No need to be so condescending guys. But yes, I'd be looking to JDM, be it Nismo, Impul or any other made for the JDM arena.

Personally, while it's cool to have and occasionally glance at when travelling at those speeds, I'd rather be focusing on how the car feels being driven to the edge without tipping over. It's a lot of effort just to admire the speed reading, in my opinion.

It's a bit pointless, especially when it reads 40kph out like my Nismo when it's pinned, but it's the only speedo I have to judge anything by for braking at the track. The Informeter doesn't see past 179kph due to the speed cut defender tricking the ecu. Shame as it stays very accurate.

Here in the northern ireland the stupid annual mot rules state that the speedometer must show both kmh and mph. NI road speeds are in mph and Ireland is in kmh.

I've had to fit G35 clusters to 2 v35s. Both worked fine, the only differences are that you lose the sidelight warning lamp and the cluster backlight doesn't dim with the clock display. G35s have a manual dimmer for dash lighting.

I'm sure there's a work round on the backlight somewhere but it hasn't annoyed me in 6 years

    • To back this up, I'm always looking on the outside, seeing the level, and then opening it up anyway, as I'm worried the level I've looked at, is more so a scunge line. Then you end up dipping your damn finger in it too depending on the type of tank you're looking at just to make sure I'm not going insane.   PS, Mark, polish up the none moroso one a bit and then give it a clear coat. The Moroso one looks to be way shiner (not mirror polished, just shinier) and it'll still look weird with the two different alloys beside each other. Either that, or Id probably paint them a flat black...
    • Good old Orange Park hey... 😛   f**k I miss that race track
    • lo, it was a death trap. Good times. Got any Fatz Drift Day DVDs still available?
    • Yes, overthinking. Many PS reserviors are completely opaque. Our Skyline ones, for example. Have to remove lid, peak inside, swirl the dipstick, try to remember how to read it, etc etc. Normal. Radiator overflows are often sufficiently opaque and scunged up that you can't see the true level inside anyway, and have to open and have a peak. Besides which, I replaced the (massively expensive, even back then) plastic overflow in my Alfa GTV, back in the '90s with a stainless one that I had a good fabricator make up to be dimensionally same-same, that looks remarkably similar to the Bogan's Moroso one above, and I never suffered any particular paranoia that I didn't know how much coolant was in it.
    • Looks great, but I'm always concerned that it makes it difficult to see what level the fluids are at. Am I overthinking this?
