I've always loved my Macro.

Still have my original (circa 1974) Rokkor lenses.

For digital photography I believe they only fit a Sony body atm.

You guys are welcome to have a loan (as you'd need an adapter)!

Also have Rokkor 16mm,28mm & 200mm with impressive focal lengths.

Looks good :)

I want a Macro lense, but don't think I'd use it nearly enough to justify it. Would be great to have but :)

Yeah same, I don't think I would use a proper macro lens anywhere near enough. I've been happy with the results from my EF-S 55-250mm though, it can work pretty well for some close up shots. Heres another of those birds i put up on the last page, they came back to visit again today haha

I can't get over how intelligent parakeets & parrots are!

Great picture BTW.

I had alot of fun with my camera at F1 this year, doing some tracking shots at low shutter speeds to get some motion in the photos. Its just to hard with fences and roof posts and crap everywhere, but started getting the hang of it. The speed of the F1 cars doesnt help either lol

Nice, if only that fence wasn't there!

Thanks :)

Yeah, the ones near me aren't too afraid of people either, as long as you don't move too fast or make much noise. Makes for some decent photo ops if the camera is nearby lol

Absolutely!

One of my patients was a curator of a NZ Zoo.

When I asked him about their penchant for rubber windscreen wipers, he told me that when they're really bored they'll go for tyre walls too!

Arguably the most intelligent of all parrots!

Our little fellah...

* loves car rides

* on night drives, he can tell when we're 3 turns from home > chirps

* on night drives, he chirps when the lights go green

* he goes back to his cage on day drives as we pull into the driveway

* has a large vocabulary

* whistles when I come in the front door

* wolf whistles when on top of the shower screen and the naked person enters the shower

* toilet trained before coming out

* goes to the toaster when he wants "toasty toast"

etc.....

Very nice :)

Id still really love to get some nice lightning shots like that but it never storms here lol

Do you mind if I ask what program you used to process those photos?

I process my RAW files with Silkypix and then they are finished in Photoshop. Not much is done to them. The lightning photos only have white balance correction. The landscapes I have just adjusted the histogram curve with luminosity masks. Also some dodge and burn.
