Pfft well woopty do its not all about brands but what it looks and sounds like, plus I happen to know a major police factor is a Milo can tip, have been told so by hwp at many rbt stations,I drive thirty thousand plus a year for work from qld to Tassie no defects, keep it sneaky is my motto. :-)

dis is soo much lol

Must apologise to Humbler and the OP, obviously I had far too much beverage at the BBQ yesterday.

...as has already been mentioned if you want to quiet it down, then loose the resonator/ hotdog and replace it with the largest oval muffler you can fit there.

or ill go with a silencer...

I had a silencer in mine, restrictive but quieter.

As long as the Mufflers are large and free flowing you can have multiple if need be.

a while back i got noise epa'd on a quiet twin tipped oval 3" muffler in blitz season... cleared it and made up stock looking straight pipes 3" to twin 2" tips loud as, pulled over multiple times and not an epa as it all looked stock....

Its too effn loud that it gave me a headache coming back from the exhaust shop. A xforce cannon with a 3 inch internal diameter. He said it would be louder than my previous jansai one but i didnt think it was gonna be this loud! The r32 even has a cat convertor and another resonator before the cannon and its doing my head in! what a waste of money!! do not buy these cannons for your own sake and everybody elses

Your original post said resonator?

So take it back to the shop and ask them to make it quieter. if you haven't scratched it up they may take it back and do a deal with a different setup.

My setup is 3" bell mouth dump to a catco ceramic, then to a large straight through oval, then it steps up the 31/2" to the cannon. tested at 88db.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
