I've just recently bought an r33 gtst series 2 (1996). It currently has 360rwkw on eflex.

Current setup...

Greddy plenum

740cc side feed injectors

Blitz front mount

6boost manifold

Gt3582r

Walbro intank

Surge tank

Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump

And other bits and peices...

So I want to make about 450-500rwkw.

Im going to get an eflex sensor to be able to run up to 85% ethenol and 98 in emergancies.

This is what I want to do...

Head

Supertech 1mm over sized valves(purchased)

Supertech Valve springs (purchased)

Supertech titanium retainers(purchased)

Tomei valve guides

Tomei 270 8.8mm lift cams(purchased)

Tomei 1.5mm metal head gasket(purchased)

ARP 2000 head studs(purchased)

Tomei inlet and exhaust cam gears(purchased)

Bottom end

Spool rebuild kit with CP pistons

Has acl race series bearings and spool conrods etc.

Spool high volume sump

Can someone recommend an oil pump?

New water pump N1?

ARP 2000 main studs

Fuel

Bosch 2200cc injectors (purchased)

Billet fuel rail(purchased)

Walbro 460lph e85 friendly pump

Also will be going larger precision turbo but thats another story.

This list is not exhaustive and any input and opinions would be appreciated.

Are my power figures acheivable and relatively reliable?

Please let me know if I'm on the right track.

I know what your saying, I was thinking of doing a 30 bottom end but I just love a highly strung rb25.

what's wrong with a highly strung RB30? lol

it will make more power under the curve and bring any turbo on earlier than a Rb25

Aaagh. Now you have me thinking again! Lol.

Well the head is pretty much sorted I'll look into the 30 bottom end. What do you recken of the spool rb30 bottom end package??

It looks reasonable...

Would I have clearence issues between my 6boost manifold and the block??

Sorry mate, I just took it for granted that any reasonable person would have all machine work (porting and so on) done when their doing a build like this.

Thats why I didn't mention it.

Can't assume people are reasonable on here!

And I wouldn't group porting with machine work, but whatever.

I would suggest going some more modern injectors. Go top Feed ID's or something. My tuner hates that I have Nismo's, to me the car runs perfect but he reakons he could get it a whole lot sweeter with some ID's etc in there

Bosch injectors no good? I thought they were the same as ID's, they are also top feed. No?

Yes they are the same thing - 89CAL was looking at your current list and missed your shopping list.

    • Impossible to remove the housing while turbo is installed on the manifold on the engine. So I have to do it anyways. I plugged it so there will not be any debris in there. Will vacuum aswell
    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
