Hey guys,

I wanted to get NIssan 350gt for a while but since i wanted a manual one forum advice me to get a series 3 manual 2006 350gt which is roughly around 22- 25k

then i checked the price of 370gt which is somewhere around 26-33k should i spend that extra buck and get the 370gt .. I can get 2008 or even 2009 370gt if i really do my research

- but I m not really a big if the stereo which is on 370gt .. is there a way i can change the stereo to a different one ??

- back spoiler of 370gt makes it look kinda prestige not sporty ?? what u guys think ??

- what are cons and pros of choosing 370gt over 350gt ??

Well if you are after a manual, the 350GT will be a V35, which is a different model to the 370GT which is a V36. the 350GT in the earlier V36 models were in the sedan only and therefore, auto only.

To be honest if the prices you are quoting are all for Manual Coupes, then I would go with the V36 370GT if it is only an extra few $k. Certainly get them checked out very well as you would normally be looking at an extra $10k for a 370gt coupe over a V35 coupe if there were in similar condition.

Stereo is tightly integrated into the vehicle so don't think you'll have an easy time replacing it.

You can look up my thread "How to fit an amp in a V36", or something like that. I have a bit of a write-up of what I did to mine. In a nutshell, I maintained the OEM head unit, upgraded the speakers, installed a DSP and amp, added a custom portable subwoofer box with its own onboard amp and use a Sony NW-ZX1 audio player via the auxiliary.

Pros of a 2009 V36? Looks nice, performs great, hugs the road even with average tyres. If you change your mind about the transmission and decide auto, the 7 speed auto in the '09 is really good.

Cons? Stereo was a pain in the bum to work with but worth it in the end. I'd recommend getting one with the Bose system fitted for the sake of making your wiring job much easier than mine was. I don't see any other cons with mine yet.

I have an 03 manual 350gt.

The cd stacker in mine has pooped itself.

G/box is fine though. I get the feeling that all this nonsense about synchros chopping themselves in the CD001 gearbox is probably a lot due to mishandling of the gearbox. I haven't checked yet, but was told that the gates for 3/5 are shared, so you really have to place it otherwise you will just crunch gear after gear.

The trim levels of the 05+ are a little nicer as well, so there is that.

22-25k for a 350gt? I hope you don't pay that much for one. It's a buyers market out there.

If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
