3. New subscribers will be able to purchase a three-month membership for a discounted rate of $12 by utilizing the promotional code PR-JoshWise98 between May 27 and June 30, 2014. iRacing will donate 90% of the revenue from the new subscriptions directly to Phil Parsons Racing.

Also if anyone is thinking of signing up to iracing let us know and we can send a referral to you. Which can give us game credit that can be used to host online sessions.

there's already a enough funds for two years of racing, but more credit can't hurt :)

Wait.

yes I did

will message tony to organize a session

Session for the 1st round is already up and been paid for, just wondering how we use the credit for the SViRC if they go to your iRacing account..?

Just saw that credits can't be transferred between iRacing accounts so anyone you send a referral to will be giving credits that only you can use and not the series.

I'd be so into this, but I sold my G27 due to lack of use... Bought it for GT5 ages ago and only used it half a dozen times.

kicking yourself... ive never played GT5 with a wheel but after trying iRacing, i couldnt go back to GT ever again.

any chance we could allow VW TDi into championship? :D its slower than the Ford racer thats for damn sure.

Hmm wonder if I can send it as a gift card?

Gift card would be the only way if the credit were meant to be used for the SViRC. To be honest this is an official SAU Vic run event and I'm not sure why you sent out referrals in the first place when you are only racing in the series. I know your keen and enthusiastic about the series and thats more than awesome but at the moment everything is organized and ready to go.

Drew could always run practice sessions for us with the money

Practice session again is from at 8pm on race night. I'm not sure why people want to pay for a practice session so much when iRacing offers unlimited testing on any track you have? Is it that people want to see how fast others are before race day? Kind of defeats the purpose of a race if you have already know where you stand in the field.

Anyone tried the fanatec wheels? Tempted as it will work with my 360 as well

Any wheel would be great to start with and Fanatec is a good brand and if it will work with your 360 then it seems worth it ;) Treat yo self!

Can lend you a wheel for a while if you would like...? Its my older one, a Thrustmaster Ferrari something something.

I'm a bit the same, I put in GT6 every now and then but always turn it off after a race or two and go right back to iRacing :P

Not sure about the VW TDi I haven't driven it. I have used cars and tracks that come with the standard iRacing membership so no-one has to buy extra once they join. I the future there may be other vehicles added, guess it depends how popular the series gets. Heres hoping as I would love to add more tracks!

I get where you're coming from, I put the idea forward because people dont have to buy the car to be competitive or even be in a race with someone who has one... they just need to download the car (but cant use it unless purchased).

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
