tokyo_kiwi
Hi, I'm new here and hope I can get some help. I have a GTR R32 more or less in stock condition with HKS coilovers that I need to replace, as one is leaking and it seems to be impossible to get them repaired.. I have tried to find some reviews of coilovers and so far I get the feeling that HSD and BC Gold generally get a lot of good feedback. I can also get OZ Racing coilovers here in NZ - http://www.bcracing.co.nz/%C2'> - which are fully supported in terms of parts and are supposedly the same as D2? I use the car just for driving on the road and plan to go on the track the odd time maybe. I wonder if there are any of you out there who have used OZ Racing coilovers and can give some feedback or comments? I haven't found anything on the forum about that brand. Cheers, C Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/443604-oz-racing-coilovers-for-r32/ Share on other sites
GTSBoy
Give the coilovers the flick. Buy a set of customised Bilsteins from SydneyKid on here. Buy a set of springs to go with (Kings, Eibach, maybe Tein). Enjoy proper damping instead of the ratshit piss poor excuse for damping you get from cheap coilovers. Enjoy life. Total cost less shipping to sheep island, <$2k. Outperform any coilover setup this side of double that money. thebawse
I have them in my R33 gts25t as a cheap alternative to BC golds. The car is my daily and is (in my mind) more than tolerable. I got mine with 8kg front and 6kg rear. 10 000km so far so good! Would recommend. If you can't afford, save up so you can afford it, you will thank yourself for it. KiwiRS4T
I have seen bits break off new D2s so if OZ are the same definitely avoid. I got my Bilsteins from Bilstein Motorsports in Penrose but Auto Alignment nationwide carry them as well. Or you can look on TradeMe for some imported HKS or Tein etc and get a suspension shop to check them out before you install them.
