Round 1 - Sau Vic Go Kart Series

The SAU Vic 2014 Go Kart Series is run the last Sunday every 2^nd month at several different Karting venues around Melbourne. This year has 3 rounds of racing with trophies/prizes awarded to the top 3 places at the SAU Vic Go Kart Series end of year meet and award night held after the last race.

Rounds are run as per venue rules and points are won just like a 2014 F1 race (without doubles points for the last round) –

1^st - 25pts 2^nd – 18pts 3^rd – 15pts 4^th – 12pts 5^th – 10pts

6^th – 8pts 7^th – 6pts 8^th – 4pts 9^th – 2pts 10^th – 1pt

The first round sees the series at the LE MANS GO KARTS Lakeside track. At 650m, the Lakeside track offers hairpin turns, fast straights, tight esses, elbow corners, and big sweepers with plenty of places for hiding and overtaking.

Entry to the event is $65 per driver which includes -

• 10 Lap Qualifying Session
• 20 Lap Race
• Trophy presentation for 1st, 2nd & 3rd
• BBQ provided by SAU Vic (bring a side to share if you can)

This is an open event to members and non-members of SAU Vic so feel free to invite a friend or family member to join in on the fun!

12pm meet with 12:30 race start. There are a heap of activities at Le Mans so feel free to get there earlier.

There are limited spots open so get your race fees in to secure your place on the grid for the first round of the

We have a couple of entries now for the first round and with around a week and a half till race start its looking to be a good one!

It says from 12pm. What time will the racing start? I can only get there about 12:30-1pm.

Our track booking is for 29/6 @ 12:30pm... There's the induction/safety video etc that we need to watch then off to the track... I'd say we'd be getting in the carts at 12:40pm...

Then we've got a 10 lap qualifying, followed by a 20 lap main race.

Odium is right and as the OP says 12pm meet with a 12:30pm race start. Le Mans likes people to get there around a half hour early to make things easier to organize I guess and know final numbers. Hope to see you there
