jiffo
Is it the same filter thread as the Rb30? Can get those from Nissan. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/454828-where-to-buy-hollow-studs-with-thread/#findComment-7498225 Share on other sites
djr81
You want a union or just the threaded part for the oil sandwich? If the latter try Nissan or otherwise. http://www.powerflowperformance.com.au/tees-elbows-unions-swivels-unions-male-flare-union-c-143_179_183.html Edited March 17, 2015 by djr81 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/454828-where-to-buy-hollow-studs-with-thread/#findComment-7498231 Share on other sites
GTR_JOEY
So it's a a stepped stud, smaller M18 thread screws into the block and the larger part threads into the sandwich plate sleeve M20 Here's a pic Make sense? XKLABA
Ok i know one of the parts in that area is different between 26-30 and you need i micrometer to tell the difference, but it is enough to fark an engine Get the genuine part, i think i might have one here for the 26 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/454828-where-to-buy-hollow-studs-with-thread/#findComment-7498324 Share on other sites
GTR_JOEY
Sweet thanks Mick, If its a standard part that I can get from Nissan I'll happily buy it, I'll PM you Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/454828-where-to-buy-hollow-studs-with-thread/#findComment-7498331 Share on other sites
GTR_JOEY
Apparently it's an rb30 stud or an L28 Can anyone confirm this? Are they the same? 89CAL
RB30. You can even try Holden and see if they will sell you one. Someone did have the part nunber listed in a thread some time ago but cant help you with what thread it was That thread may still be salvagable if you want to find the right dye for it. I pulled my stud off an RB30 at the wreckers and ended up having to use vise-grips and damaged the thread a bit. Cleaned up alright though. Running in the car at the moment Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/454828-where-to-buy-hollow-studs-with-thread/#findComment-7498702 Share on other sites
GTR_JOEY
Thanks mate, I ran a Die over it yesterday and it was pretty bad still. considering i need to screw it in to pretty much the end of its thread to get the oil block to sit tight, Id rather just get a new one for the sake of a few bucks I just got off the phone with Andrew at Kudos motorsport and he is going to supply the stud and a suitable filter with a pressure releif valve. Btw the part number your talking about is 15213-21001 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/454828-where-to-buy-hollow-studs-with-thread/#findComment-7498726 Share on other sites
niZmO_Man
Same as RB20E/DET... FYI RD28 and VG30 have the same stud 15213-V0711 hahaha. Thanks jp-carparts! GTR_JOEY
Haha thanks Ravi A point to note: I've read through many other threads on this without clear indicators on what you need to do to make this work with a greddy oil block. If you remove the heat trasnfer block You can use a standard rb26 filter if you knock a pressure relief into the block where the return is Then just use the RB 30 filter stud.. Here's the part numbers All up costs $50 from kudos.. That included 2 genuine oil filters I highly recommended them, Andrew and Ian are top guys and are always willing to help Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/454828-where-to-buy-hollow-studs-with-thread/#findComment-7501231 Share on other sites
